After a busy start to the year with BKC-IV, Kickstarters and more, it's finally time for some new 10mm releases!

Pirates have been in our Top 10 requests for quite some time now so we've decided to give them a go. We've done a nice captain figure, along with 5 different poses of pirates armed with musket, pistol and cutlass. These chaps would also do duty as slave revolt / mutiny types in areas like the Haitain Revolution, so we hope you like them!

Some of our Marlburian codes were done by a different sculptor many years ago so we thought it was about time to get them revamped! The foot command, artillery crews and Austrian cuirassiers have all been replaced with nice new sculpts, which brings them into line with the other figures in this range.

For anyone needing any of the old figures, we'll still have the moulds here and can supply those for you to finish off existing armies.

Something for the WWI gamers now, as we've released a complete trench railway system along with a Simplex locomotive to run on it!

These railways were developed during the trench warfare period of WWI to allow the delivery of food, ammunition and contruction materials to the front line, where the usual transport networks had been destroyed. These narrow gauge tracks created a connection to the standard gauge railways further back from the front line and proved extremely successful. As well as the UK, similar railways were used by Russia, France and Germany, with a variety of gauges in use from 600mm to 750mm (ours is 600mm).

Simplex were known as Motor Rail during the war and were one of several producers of locomotives and wagons to run on these new trench railways. We've done the early style of tractor with the open top, later versions had a covered roof over them and armoured side doors. We've also done a small handcart as well, which could be pushed along the rail in front of the locomotive with smaller items or wounded soldiers on it.

A quick release for the larger scale gamers this time, as we've added a selection of the Pegasus Hobbies bricks and sandbags to the Minibits website. These would probably be too big for 10mm games, but the small bricks are good for 15mm & 20mm, while the large bricks would suit 25/28mm and upwards. The sandbags are also best used with 25/28mm and above.

Well we promised you something special and here it is! Many years ago we had a V1 with a launch ramp, but it was a single piece casting and quite basic so we decided to upgrade it a little bit...!

This new launch ramp is a fantastic bit of work by John at Ironclad Miniatures and has been given an equally outstanding paintjob by the talented Jason Dawson of JAD Designs. John has based the design on the launch sites found at du Mesnil au Val or Vacquerie Le Boucq.

Comprising of 8 pieces, the resin launch ramp comes in two base pieces along with a ramp, 4 supports and a sentry box. We've then added a pair of engineers, plus a couple of sentries and a guard dog. This is a big kit, measuring 330x140mm overall (210mm for the ramp) and would make an excellent objective in your WWII games. You could add a countdown factor for added excitement, stop the rocket before it launches in turn 6...! It would of course look just as good as a terrain piece on any northern France tables.

We fell for the game hard, and already have two Pendraken armies, an official GW one, and a cobbled together Chaos one. It, and A Song of Ice and Fire are proving to be the best competitive tabletop games we have ever played.

I've been going back to all the games I enjoyed in the 90s and early 2000s and after my epic stuff is painted, warmaster is next for sure. I have very little beyond the rulebook and a couple groups of orc infantry so I'm hyped

The next batch of 10mm TB Line moulds is complete so we're very happy to announce that the Teutonics are back on sale!

This range has 8 codes covering mounted command, cavalry and infantry with a nice mix of sculpts in each. We've also managed to find a couple of extra poses in the master moulds so both the 'Crossbowmen' and 'Heavy European infantry' have got an extra pose which might not have been available previously. As with the other TB ranges, the horses and riders are separate castings and some of these also have separate shields.

For those who've not had any TB Line figures before, they match up very well to our own in both size and proportions. We've not made any changes to the sculpts but they have been cleaned up for the new moulds and are much crisper castings.

We've got a useful bunch of releases for the Blitzkrieg Commander players next, with some tokens and templates now available for use in your games!

First up we've got a selection of dice: The D6 Weather dice can be used with the Weather Optional Rule and provide Sun, Overcast, Rain, Snow, Lightning and Fog. We'd suggest using Sun and Overcast as 'Good' weather, Rain and Fog as 'Poor' weather maybe, leaving Snow and Lightning for 'Extreme' weather conditions? The Deviation dice come as a pair, with one containing an arrow and a number, the other being a regular D6 spot dice. The D8 Compass dice can also be used for deviation, as well as in some of the deployment rules.

Secondly we've got some markers for both Suppressed and Deployed. These have been designed as handy doughnut shapes so that they can be hung over gun barrels or placed over the top of an infantry figure.

Next up are a pair of templates, one for the Restricted firing arcs and the other for showing your front, flank and rear aspects during firing and close assault actions. These are both around 100mm diameter with a 50mm internal space to fit around your BKC bases.

And finally we've got some templates for all of your off-table attacks: The Artillery support get either a 20cm circle concentration or 20cm square barrage template, while the Air Support get either a 30x10cm ground attack or 30cm circular bomber template.

We'll be looking at some more tokens/markers for release later in the year, but let us know if there's any particular gaming aids that you'd like to see.

Coming next we've got some revamped WWII vehicles and then it'll be the long-awaited Indian Mutiny range!

The new releases continue at a pace and this time we've upgraded our Sd.Kfz 251 models and added some extra variants as well!

First off, our existing Ausf C and Ausf D hulls have been upgraded, along with their variants, so all of the current codes have been replaced with these new models. Where necessary, we've also replaced the additional items, so new rocket launchers, new map tables, etc.

As well as those upgrades, we've also taken the opportunity to add the Ausf A and Ausf B versions, along with the most popular variants across all of the B C and D hulls. Most of these options are separate castings (rockets, guns, mortars, etc) so we can put together some of the less popular versions if anyone wants them.

We've making a lot of progress on the releases this year and we'll be continuing that trend over the next couple of months with the Ancient Dacians, Sarmatians, Greeks and Persians coming very soon. Plus we'll have the TB Line Islamics, some new Modern Vehicles and the revamped Feudal Japanese range! Busy times ahead at Pendraken HQ!

We've had a lot of feedback and requests for some larger 28mm Animals, as our original 28mm set were a little on the smaller side and suited the traditional 25-28mm figures better. These new creatures are much bigger and will look great with the 28mm-32mm ranges, so companies like Warlord, Perry, or some of the bigger Fantasy ranges. The previous '28mm' range has been re-labelled as '25mm' and will suit the more traditionally sized manufacturers, so Hinchliffe, Front Rank, Eagle, etc.

If you purchased any of our 28mm Animals prior to 26/8/19, then you will need to purchase from the 25mm section so that they match with your previous purchases.

It's always worth remembering that the size of animals (especially livestock) has varied through history, so a Medieval cow could have been between 4ft-5ft tall compared to the 5ft-6ft that we see on farms today. So as with anything else, make sure to choose the size which will look right with your miniatures!

We're pleased to announce that we're now stocking the full range of Scale Specialties decals! Originally developed and sold by Norm Harris (who sadly passed away a few years ago), and then continued by his widow Penelope, the complete range of 6mm and 10mm sheets has now been purchased by I-94 Enterprises in the USA. As we stock their own range of decals already, it made sense to add these excellent designs to our website as well!

The decals are split into 6mm (1:300th) and 10mm (1:160th) designs. The 6mm sheets are all aircraft markings, mainly WWII with a few Korean War designs, covering British, German, Japanese and US planes. The 10mm sheets are split into Aircraft and Vehicle designs, all for WWII, and covering British, German and US options. These will be a great fit for our own 10mm/1:150th vehicles and provide some nice extra options to go with the I-94 products.

There's also a couple of 10mm Samurai sheets which will come in very handy for our upcoming new Feudal Japanese range!

All of these are bigger than the I-94 decals, coming in either 20x12cm or 12x9cm sheets.
