You need the csm sorcerer that you already have. Weirdly his miasma will work for deathguard and csm but a deathguard sorcerer will only work on deathguard.

Mark of Nurgle grants access to that power? Learn something new every day

At the moment he was going to be taking Warptime and either Death Hex or Prescience.

Prescience on 3 Oblits or Miasma... not sure, think the Prescience would be better

Managed to finally get a game in using this combo. It was at 1750 so a few changes to the list, but the core remained the same.

Playing against Custodes with Skitarri, 3 min squads of jetbikes, 2 jetbike captains, telemon dreadnought, banner guy. With a battalion of skirarri lead by 2 techpriests (all min I guess for the CP).

We played the mission with the 1 objective with a shrinking cobtrol zone and no invul in the centre of the table. Playing diagonal deployment from the main rulebook. Sorry I can't remember the names of either the mission or deployment.

Opponent setup first, castles in the far corner. I setup aggressively, except for Epidemius. I am given first turn...

Morty moves up 30 inches, failing a 7 inch charge.... then with Miasma survives all his shooting with 11 wounds remaining(it is mostly bolder fire). Custodes charge me in their turn with 2 units of bikes and both captains. I interrupt after 1 units goes and destroy one unit and a captain...

The end really, opponent concedes at the end of my turn 3 with the Dread on 3 wounds left, bike captain (warlord) on 1 wound left, banner guy, both techpriests and 2 bikers left from the same squad (they deep striked). Morty finished up on 3 wounds. All in I lost 1 nurgling.....

So, in summary. Even though Morty failed to charge it forced my opponent to shoot everything at him, meaning for 2 turns my drones and Prince were moving without danger (nothing got flamed till my 3rd turn as I was skirting the invul bubble). Will keep playing him the same way, allowing the rest of my army freedom to move... with that knowledge I will likely get more out of the list

Nice, how did the blighthaulers make out? Morty really is tough as nails right?

Because it was a 1750, not 2k I dropped them and the death shroud and added a 3rd drone. Oh, and I played 20 poxwalkers to screen Epidemius better

For me my core is Morty, the Prince and his drone support and the tree

I am at a WW campaign in 2 weeks after that I'll get the full 2k list out. Can't wait to prescience the MBH once they have Epidemius tally up for reroll 1s to hit. Once I have those 2 kills for the tally, that is when i reckon they will start to out perform the PBC

The tree really helped when his Deepstrikers came down and charged one of my drones, it survived with 3 wounds and was able to fall back and charge after shooting that unit. I only killed one of the jetbikes but I forced my opponent to give up his charge bonus for the next turn

Morty is tough, though sadly not T8... most important is that my opponent was forced to shoot most of his army at him, instead of my drones or nurglings, who were taking the point every turn. Even if he does down Morty he has still only killed 1 thing and I own the objective in that mission and still have my warlord alive.

I've taken Magnus to tournements recently, more for a change of pace from my usual 110 daemons and Ahriman and friends than anything else. He fills the same role for me. Everyone will sink all their firepower into him and he usually makes it to round 2/3 but that means that everything else is untouched and is causing problems.

I’ve got newly painted Magnus ready to hit the battlefield. What do you bring with Magnus?
