This seems clear to me, but I have been wrong, and there is some resistance in my current group. This is my interpretation:
If I set up a Sanctus using the blips system in GSC, he is still set up during the movement phase (mine or my opponents).
I am then legal in using the "A Perfect Ambush" stratagem, at a cost of zero CP (but it is used that turn) to shoot as if it were my shooting phase.

I know if I deepstrike him he gets it, I guess I am not sure if the blip set-up still qualifies him (it reads like it does) or if I have missed an FAQ somewhere.

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

Emphasis mine. "A Perfect Ambush" can be used whenever you set up a unit, regardless of the reason why it was set up.

Thanks BCB. That was my logic as well, but nice to get confirmation from someone who has a better consensus of the million different things needed now for 40k.

I feel ya. For what it's worth, A Perfect Ambush does indeed have errata. You can no longer use it after you disembark.

Still fine to use from blips though right?

Yes. It works when a unit is set up, it doesn't matter how it's set up.
