Rest sounds good though -- especially enjoyed the "Echoes from the warp" articles thus far.

Good news! It's actually a little nuts that it's taken this long for an Inquisitor to get into kill team, and honestly this probably means Inquisition in general will not be getting an expansion box or rules as so many have hoped. I hope I'm wrong, though.

The delays in my area have been getting quite unreasonable for white dwarf. I always get mine at minimum a week after my local shops, and usually about two weeks later. With the recent delivery schedule change, I can now just assume I'll be getting whatever the current issue is in the following month (still haven't received June issue here). I'll definitely be cancelling my sub and just buying a la carte from my local shops from now on.

I imagine the custodes are some of the missaries of the emperor who where accompanying Gulliman to hand out Primaris instructions. ohh and proably ask the blood ravens "JUST WHY THE FETH YOU HAVE ONE OF OUR CHEST GUARDS!"

I genuinely never thought we'd see Daemons in KT.

Coolbeans. One Faction; three different games. Kiss-kiss, bang-bang.

The Fall of Kronstaat IV
Война Народная | Voyna Narodnaya | The People's War - 2,765pts painted (updated 06/05/20)
Волшебная Сказка | Volshebnaya Skazka | A Fairy Tale (updated 29/12/19, ep10 - And All That Could Have Been)
Kabal of The Violet Heart (updated 02/02/2020)

All 'crimes' should be treasured if they bring you pleasure somehow.

Sorry if my knowledge on the matter is poor, haven't read the Eisenhorn books yet, but isn't Eisenhorn Ordo Xenos? Why are Daemons the antagonists (or protagonists depending on your viewpoint) here?

The theme of the Eisenhorn trilogy is his change from a Puritan to a radical Inquisitor, notably dealing with Chaotic forces and entities.

Also, who said these demons are the “antagonists”? This issue has rules for Eisenhorn, and it has rules for daemons, that’s all.

despite offically being ordos Xenos, Eisenhorn dealt with a lot of chaos stuff. especially as when yu have a cult of heretics smuggling in xenos artifacts to aide them in summoning a demon... an ordo Xenos inqusitor isn't going to just call in someone else if he discovers it well investigating a xenos smuggling ring. I find it best to look at the various inqusition ordos not as jurisdictions but focus'. a ordos Xenos inqusitor belives that on the balance of things the most important threat to the IoM are Xenos threats. etc

So when does WD publish?

I haven't had a reason to buy it in years and google seems curiously reluctant to share.

I'm curious how many different combinations of Daemons we will be able to field. I have Bloodletters, Nurgle and Slaanesh but I may very well end up regretful that I sold my Pink Horrors and Screamers.

I wouldn't mind seeing a lot of Inquisition units going to Kill Team. It's the perfect setting for them.

True. It's a great miniature if you can get a good one. I had to return my first one to get one with few enough bubbles to salvage

Where are the Blood Ravens decals located? Do they sell them with the Space marine kits, now? or are they special order?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

I would take it as a kindness if everyone tried really hard not gripe when the Deamons Kill Team (and maybe even the Inquisitor team too) addition comes out and it is terrible. I am pretty sure just like Kroot and Custodes these rules will allow Daemons to play in Kill Team. Chances are, just like Kroot and Custodes, they are going to be a pretty bad faction in Kill Team especially if you try an mono-chaos god it. Hence the reason they weren't added until this point.

I know the Kill Team subreddit is going to suddenly be shocked to find they probably aren't very good, but I have hopes that Dakkanauts have been around the GW block a couple times and release that Daemons just don't have units that fit particularly well in how the current Kill Team plays.

That said, yes I will probably try out my Horrors (maybe with some Bloodletters) just to put the miniatures on the board every now and again. I am just expecting them to be bottom of the barrel in the game like the other add-on factions to Kill Team. I certainly could be wrong, but I think there is a good reason why they weren't added even in Elites. I think Sisters of Battle, when they have their release, probably will be really good in Kill Team and were only held back because of the revitalization of the model line. Any other faction, I am less confident about.

The best part of getting rules for these models in kill team is for narrative stuff. Using them as third parties to shake up a normal game.

I don't know. I think Daemons weren't in Kill Team because GW designs their games around Narrative Play, and they genuinely believed Daemons didn't fit the description of covert operatives working on a small scale at all and therefore left them out, and only tacks on Matched Play because AoS taught them how catastrophic sales will be if they don't. Given the timing I can believe that they reserved the option to release Daemon rules in White Dwarf if there is enough demand, because the lead time is fairly small compared to an actual expansion.

Inquisition suffers from a dismal model range and quite possibly a lack of interest from the designers, so that's a different issue.

I wouldn't worry too much about how Daemons will perform. I doubt GW put any effort into their rules and as is often the case, whether they are good, bad or reasonably balanced is going to be purely accidental.

My previous reasoning for the lack of Daemons in KT was that they didn't want you to be able to use one box of $35 minis in three/four games.

Now, I have no idea.

Well, if we're talking about covert missions and infiltration like in Kill Team. Only Slaaneshi and Tzeentchian daemons would be capable of such a thing. Like say a Slaaneshi Herald or the Changling with a few lesser daemons in tow. Khornate and Nurglite daemons are anything but subtle. So, I couldn't see them pulling off anything but a frontal assault.

I assumed they were saving it for some sort of Grey Knights or otherwise Inquisition-related release. Looks like I was right?
