I've taken a short break from my painting guides to finally make a start on my Shadowspear models. When Intercessors were released I thought Space Marines couldn't get any better – but then along came the Vanguard...

It's been nice to get back to the Raptors and try out some tweaks to the scheme I had in mind for these models. This is a test model so I hope you like what I came up with!

That paint job is fantastic! Love the smooth colour transition!
What colours did you use for the green? Been trying to work on a squad of raptors mysel!

Thanks Wezex! I did a step by step on the green armour on my website: https://www.themightybrush.com/tutorial/how-to-paint-raptors-space-marines/

Amazing work again, Luther.

I wondered how someone gets that good at both the painting and the photography, then I checked your site. Ouch! I may well employ your glowing eye technique. Thanks for sharing it.

Frigging amazing, man. I have nothing worthwhile to say, but that, in all honesty. Not much of a model painter or anything. But I just had to say something. Keep up the amazing work! Also, the Raptors are awesome. My own chapter The Shades of Persecution are a lot like them but more CQC focused and more of a 'warrior' philosophy than a 'soldier' one (working more as individuals that in squads etc)

Sorry. Looking great!

"The best way to lie is to tell the truth." Attelus Kaltos.
My story! Secret War
After his organisation is hired to hunt down an influential gang leader on the Hive world, Omnartus. Attelus Kaltos is embroiled deeper into the complex world of the Assassin. This is the job which will change him, for better or for worse. Forevermore. Chapter 1.

The Angaran Chronicles: Hamar Noir. After coming back from a dangerous mission which left his friend and partner, the werewolf: Emilia in a coma. Anargrin is sent on another mission: to hunt down a rogue vampire. A rogue vampire with no consistent modus operandi and who is exceedingly good at hiding its tracks. So much so even the veteran Anargrin is forced into desperate speculation. But worst of all: drive him into desperate measures. Measures which drives Anargrin to wonder; does the ends, justify the means?

That's some amazing painting. I would have believed you if you said it was a 54mm model.
