Let's imagine a hypothetical unit with 2 Small Arms weapons, one is Attacks: User, the other is Attacks: x2. Let's say this unit has 3 Attacks.

Clearly, with one weapon, it gets 6 shots and with the other, it gets 3.

Now let's imagine there are 9 enemy infantry squads in range, how many of these can it shoot at? Can it split those 9 shots one on each? Does it have to put 6 shots on one squad and 3 on another? Does it have to put all 9 on one unit?

I'm not 100% on the answer from a quick read through the rulebook, but I'm probably missing something obvious. Thanks for your help!

What has Attacks: x2?

Or is this a hypothetical?

But for ranged, since you are talking about shots, each model must shoot all of its attacks from a weapon at a single enemy unit.

It can shoot at 2. You dont choose a different target for each shot. You choose a different target for each weapon.

Unit a is shooting weapon b at enemy unit x. That weapon shoots 3 times.

Unit a is also shooting weapon c at enemy unit y. That weapon has 6 shots.

You cannot split up the shots within a profile. You can only point each profile at a different target.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Shuriken Catapults for example.

Thanks that was also my interpretation.

Shuriken Catapult, Page 111 Craftworlds Codex. It is assault 2, not x2

Page 6 in the 40k Battle Primer has the rules for Assault type weapons.

If you read the title of the thread, he is talking about Apocalypse, not normal 40k. This really should be in the Specialist Games forum (and I reported it as such) but alas it has not yet been moved.

Apocalypse, not 40K.

Question for the mods really:

Should Apoc stuff be in the Specialist Games forum? Seeing as that's where Kill Team goes, and it's an equally different ruleset to 40k.

Another vote for non-40K rules questions not being in this sub forum.
