Is everyone making Apocalypse lists old school with pen and paper? I'm hesitant to buy the data cards, as I'm sure they'll be errata'd within a few months or so. Even with the cards you don't have all the stats on one page.

Is there going to be a battlescribe builder for Apoc or something?

There almost certainly will be a Battlescribe data repository, it'll just be a case of when someone gets around to doing it what with it being a community thing.

I mean, the math is super simple, so yeah Ive just been writing up text docs while scrolling thru the datasheets on my computer.

Honestly I feel like it is faster and easier than battlescribe would be.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

It is being worked on, simply is taking time.

No pressure, but do you have an estimated finish time? I'm just debating whether I should spend the time handwriting or printing my own index or just wait for an army builder...

I feel like any date I give is just gonna be a lie ... so no. I'd love it if we can release by this weekend though. We're waiting on some screens that someone in this thread offered up (for Warlord Traits and Faction abilities, as well as what I've heard are some restrictions on detachment building). And also plugging away on all the datasheets.

From 5 days ago.

I'm really not sure, no one in our area is playing it. I was genuinely shocked to hear both my local stores and a third store I go to, sold 0 copies of the game thus far.

Nah, i'll do lists with pen and paper. I'm not going to buy data cards as they dont cover all of the datasheets (such as Forge World). I'm planning to print all of the datasheets and put them into a folder to keep things organized.

The unit rules can be found as PDFs from GW themselves.

You can find the files here. https://github.com/BSData/wh40k-apocalypse.

They aren't totally complete but many armies are. Just download it and drop it in your battlescribe download folder.

The Power level is easy to calculate, but you really need to visualize your Detachments so that you have the right type of units in them and characters to draw cards with etc.

I use Excel and move things around. I hope HQ-Builder puts it out soon because I like seeing the army where Battlescribe makes me want to punch my eyes!

70% of all statistics are made up on the spot by 64% of the people that produce false statistics 54% of the time that they produce them.

They mentioned it in a chat in nuts and bolts. Wait a few months to see if the discusions build or die down seems to be the consensus.
