The baby beakies are so cute! I think the helmet shape still looks great at this scale, where the mk3s are a bit bland.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with how they look, tbh ^^.
Also, I based the two full plates:

Seems like a good way to get the scale of HH battles a little more impressive! Are these minis designed for 15mm, or did you scale down and edit regular ones?

In both cases both are originally designed for 6mm/Epic/ AT, and you have to scale them up to about 220%. The beakies are a bit more detailed, probably because they're newer.
As a general thought, I believe that current 40k would probably be much better played at 15mm, what with the amount and size of the stuff they want us to use.
Size wise, this is what they look like against a regular sized one:

It's great that the 6mm figs upscaled are detailed enough to still work. Have you tried and had success with downscaling 32mm 40k figs as well? My guess is that they might need a 110% scale in the xy to "thicken" them up a bit for ease of printing with thin parts. Anything more than that in my old experience and they start to look distorted.

It very much depends on the mini. The daintier ones are usually too thin even for 28-32mm, whereas other companies go for sturdier. Anvil Digital Forge's minis, for example, usually work quite well.
Also, I've primed a set of the minis.
The Mark IIIs show clearly they are meant for Epic scale in the amount of triangles:
But the beakies? smooth as fething butter, those are:

Yeah, there is a big difference between the two. If I still had access to 3ds max, I could increase the poly count with a single click to smooth out those triangles (at the cost of sharpness of square angles which would also get rounded off). Unfortunately, none of the programs I regularly use can do that (only simplify) though I'm guessing blender likely has the function buried under 20 difference commands.

In edit mode just look at the item tab of the sidebar. In the edges section you'll see mean crease, that's what you want to keep sharp edges when you subdivide. You can also assign edges to a vertex group and use a bevel modifier. Provided the topology isn't half assed ofc.
I'd love to see a huge game of 40k at 15mm that would be awesome.

I will have to check, because I know next to nothing about blender XD. Thanks!
I managed to finish a test squad of beakies, going a tad classic:

Thanks. I might try that out. To say that I'm a blender noob would probably be an overstatement of my knowledge of the program and that's before trying to do it on a laptop without a dedicate mouse (a big problem with blender traditionally).

Lovely crisp prints, and the paintjob hits just the right level of detail to make them pop while not being cluttered!
If my eyes weren't so poor, I'd be very tempted to embark on a similar project, this is inspiring stuff that really shows off the value of printing and the options it opens up! Alas, I stuggle enough with 28mm and print pretty much everything at 32-35mm these days, so 15mm is probably beyond me.

Looks really cool. I agree 15mm is a great size. I would love to see your collection together on the gaming table (and next to a regular 40k model for size reference).
I've been thinking of starting a 15mm scale 40k / 30k project, though I might downscale to 8mm so it works alongside AT / AI models (I know the debate of 6mm vs 8mm, I'd be going for the 8mm).
Also, my printer isn't big enough to do tanks at 15mm scale, lol.

There's not really an "8mm" scale. AT is "1/4 the same in 40k" and that's that. The remark comes from distorting something one designer said during the run to AT: namely, that SMs at the scale AT was going to be "were about 8mm high".
Now, the important part is that infantry wise, all works (...almost. the plastic space marines are ridonkulously tiny, save for the scouts, which are giants), and the old Epic models are all over the place in scale, from nominally 3mm to micro scale. I decided to make all my printed stuff 1/4 for coherence, but I still use a lot of old stuff and it doesn't really matter.
What printer are you using? 15mm tanks should be eminently doable in any regular 6''-screen resin printer.

Indeed, nicely done. You are conducting the one TRUE great crusade in the Emperor's name! Now that you have appropriate minis, you just need to find a ruleset conducive to the mass battle format 40k has drifted towards over the decades.

I can't really stomach building yet another plastic marine army, and printing-wise I'm reaching capacity on how many Kings of War armies I can print and add to the paint queue Did you post where the sculpts, particularly the tiny 30k marines, come from? All Cults, yeah. Let's see... the Mark IIIs are from this user:
https://cults3d.com/en/users/fortyfirstmillennial/creations
But really, they are all upscaled Galactic Crusaders, of which there's literal hundreds of remizes for basically everything and anything HH.
The beakies are these:
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/galactic-brother-war-hounskull-mark-sextus-troop-6-8mm-15mm
I fixed them using 3D Builder, which for some reason changed the units from mm to cm, and the downscaled that at 25%, which maps well with my other stuff.
The eldars are from Lord Chronos, and are upscaled 220%

I mean, 3rd edition 40k is right there... ^^. That said, Grimdark Future would probably work perfectly, but I don't think there's super heavies... not that I mind, tbh.
