As an aside, as "infinite" rolls is actually impossible even if the FAQ "allows" it, then it will always be a non-zero chance to pass them all. Eventually the two players will die. If they pass the game on to their decendents, they too will eventually die. And, at the end of it all, the universe will experience heat death and it, too, will die. In the instance of "infinite" hits, we're talking more of functional infinity, rather than literal.
RAW you can't pass the game onto descendants, permissive ruleset. Unless we get an FAQ from GW. |

Sorry, will do in the future.
I guess though, they can be played with a Heretic astartes commander ?

The daemons rules haven't been released yet have they? Maybe they'll release with commanders.

They have released. They're in the current White Dwarf.

And they seem a bit,,, lack-luster,,, kind of like an after thought.
It really feels like they forgot there game had Elites and Commanders and designed an army to be used with just the core rule book... or is it just me ? Automatically Appended Next Post: I also just realised you can't play them with heretic astartes. They share a keyword,,, but not a "faction keyword."
Might just houserule that if our daemons player is playing, he can use a HA commander... I dunno... I am disappoint.

Ah. Didn't know that.
Wasn't there supposed to be an Eisenhorn KT box set release or is the WD rules release all we're getting?
I was hoping for a proper KT daemons box set... :(

not sure, but it doesn't look like it unfortunately ...
I think GW might be shifting there focus to Apocalypse as there alternative 40k game now ... Its been a while since they have released anything for KT and some of the KT products on the webpage are shifting over to there "last chance to buy" sections...
Automatically Appended Next Post: In my opinion, its looks like the demon rules were kinda just thrown into this WD because they had them lying around since the core release. No effort to add sub factions, elites, or commanders is what gives me that impression.

This is all just my opinion though, maybe I am wrong and a ton of cool stuff will be added in a future WD or some new KT releases... Just to me, it doesn't look like it's going in that direction.
KT hasn't even gotten an FAQ in almost a year and none of the expansin / extension books are FAQed at all... support seems to be dwindling.

I think the deamon list in the WD is just a beta test to get it in players hands and see if anything shakes out.
That would give them enough time to adjust and edit what they need with enough time to do a demon vs sister expansion for a Christmas release.
We already have Glitchlings... nurglings can't be far behind.. plus who doesn't want to go up against a Beast of Nurgle
But this is all wishful thinking.. I have no idea and probably live in the farthest point from GW headquarters.

A whole two months since the last wave.
KT releases haven't that close together other than the launch burst.

Same I was afraid daemons would be really samey (and bad because melee-centric), but then I had a glimmer of hope thinking they'd include some Elite units, as there are plenty (in plastic and/or new kits) to choose from. Alas, no dice. And no tactics to really write home about either - my Gellerpox, for example, are a stumpy melee force but at least they can vomit and teleport. Versus my bloodletter team, which mill about hoping to swing a hellblade before being fallen back from and getting T3'd to death, or my Tizz, which are really expensive and pretty incompetent save for the one AP3 dude. I guess banking 3 CP to blink reality is a thing? Still tempted to try out a Tizz team*, simply in the name of 4++ saves and because patron deity and all that. *Numbers work to: Iridescent Horror [L] Horror Hornblower [C] - instrument 6 Horrors [C][V] EDIT: Checked the rules again, no multi-damage beyond lucky / boosted hellblades is the sadness ...
