Just about struggled through the first episode of this dross.
Young, "edgy", cool space crew go off in search of some signal.

Anyone got past e1 and have anything even vaguely decent to report on?

Netflix has had some gems over the years - this so far, is about as wide of the mark as it gets

I've been watching an episode here and there, but not binging it. I think I'm up to 6 or 7 now. It's not great, but there's a lot worse out there. Mostly just wanna see what happens in the end, kinda expecting the end to be just like Contact.

Spoiler:
You get to see Starbuck's butt though, so there's that

Super glad to see you post this. I was actually really excited about this when it was announced like a month ago. I saw Katee Sackhoff and Selma Blair, and thought the previews looked great. Then it dropped on Netflix, I started watching the first episode and... 15 minutes in, I was playing with my phone. Terrible writing.

I still think the trailer and premise look good, but hoo boy, when I thought about taking another swing at it the next day but now it's competing with The Boys and the new season of Orange Is The New Black... I don't think I can make this one work unless someone says it was amazing.

I watched the first two episodes. Not sure how much longer I can keep at it.

The crew of edgy 20-somethings who don’t seem fit to run a Starbucks, much less a spaceship

Boneheaded decisions. Sure, a LOT of sci-fi has this problem. But a little common sense in strange and dangerous situations would be nice.

The Dad and Kid bits so far just feel flat.

Seems like there might be some potential, but I’m not hooked. I might watch the 3rd episode, but if that doesn’t grab me, I’m probably done.

It started meh and is continuing meh. Which is a pity since the trailer looks so cool

He's getting pretty on in years at this point- is that a plus or a minus? Or do you mean the company?

Isn't this the one where they didn't even want to release the trailer? Or was that some marketing tomfoolery?

Finished it last night. I mostly kept it on in the background while working on minis, seemed to get a little better in the last couple episodes but still just average at best. Not expecting there to be a 2nd season, but if there is I'll prolly skip it unless I'm desperate for something to watch.
