The Grey Knights' geneseed would be the biggest issue.
Information on it's origins is just straight up missing and filled with guestimations like Emperor's personal geneseed and Thousand Sons' geneseed.

This is not how any of this works. When GW is ready to make Primaris GKs, they write the fluff to justify it. The fluff does not dictate models, it is the other way around.

and Dakkawolf never said it cou;dn't be done, he's just saying there's a reason to justify a delay in giving GKs primaris

Just no. GK has their own very distinct flair and fighting styles. They need those little golden letter all over their armour, they need psychic hoods, they need force weapons. They require complete bespoke models.
Bah. I bought that kit just to make Black Templar command squads. They aren't that special or different.

I bought the kit for the helmets and weapons and extra bitz for dead Marines when I eventually get around to basing.
