Incursors
Impulsors.
Invictors
Infiltrators.

Las-fusiliers, 4+ save on a tank, Str5 Eliminators. Aura for the unit as long as a phobo capt or LT is on the board.. Combat Doctorines?

It's going to be an expensive month but Astartes might just have become the best army on the tabletop.

Eliminators look incredible.

Impulsor ability is great, as with many other transports though the point cost could be prohibitive.

Other units look ok, but I'm not terribly excited from what we've seen yet.

The mini-Dreadnight DAKKA EDITION looks beastly. Put him around 250.

Here's betting the new tank is 300.

I assume the infiltrator dual box will be the same price as intercessors, the eliminators will probably be the same as aggressors, the dread the same as the dread, and the rhino cheaper than the dread I'd hope

I don't think its a might bud.

In my meta It's been a toss up on most games vs marines. More often than not very tight games.. Now its just a question of which turn will other armies be conceding.
Its pretty gross.

I don't see any way my army can compete at a casual game, that's assuming point costs stay more or less similar. I might actually not play vs marine players until inevitable FAQ and CA. I don't want to have to buy/play 3 Alitoic fliers just to stand a chance of winning.

I like to use wraith lords and aspects rather than cheese spam alitoic fliers so yeah..

Anyway it might not be all that bad. It will come down to points. If everything gets all the extra rules but no points increase its not boding well for other factions which are even less competitive than marines.

yeah I mean incursors are going to be elites, no doubt there and thats a CROWDED slot. if they're not points efficant they'll not see a ton of play. and GW has, generally, been conservitive about their point costing for primaris when they first come out...

I mean granted if you're fighting raven guard all the time they're going to be a god send what with their "no range penalties and cover remover" abilities.

Can we not stop for a moment and shed a tear for my Deathwatch ? I'd like to get access to my shadowspear contents for Deathwatch.

Instead all I get is the super expensive mega repulsive with wallet nuking price tag. I don't think that is really all that fair. I'm an infantry guy for marines, give me the new infantry units GW. I'll let you keep uber expensive tank mans. Won't anyone think of the children ?!?!

I really do laugh inside when I read statements on how OP Space Marines are now.

For years at every release its, "Space Marines get everything, what about my faction?" Then it goes to, "Space Marines are the dumbest army concept, GW is lame". Then it goes to, "Space Marines are the weakest faction and have absolute garbage rules". Now we start over with the OP statements and the people going full rage-quit before anything has been released.

For the last year everyone that talks about Marines has said they need something different that separates them from everyone else and makes them good.....Well?

He seems like a good guy. Not a power gamer. In non powergame setting marines and eldar is close currently. When these changes roll through the same casual army is likely to crush him.

There's improvement and then there's dialling improvement up to 11 and feeding it steroids

We need to give it a couple weeks once the data is in.

oh I'm sure it's the case just, yeah bit of a first. at first glance these rules do seem a bit much but I'm adopting a wait and see stance. I do think these rules are a sign that GW is thinking of how to make marines stand out, for a long time Marines have, other then ATSKNF not really had any special rules that makes em stand out, meanwhile guard, eldar etc, have had some rules that gave them a very solid baked in identity. This is gonna look like the first time we have Marines that really might feel like marines.

On the bright side, all of the other armies might get the same treatment. Remember there's supposed to be another setting advancement in the form of the Psychic Awakening, which is probably a prelude to a bunch of new codex releases.
When was the last space marine codex released, anyway? It hasn't been that long, has it?

That's true. But if that's true its that power creep rearing its ugly heads again. If everyone gets the same treatment at this rate most battles will unlikely go more than 2 rounds for SM to use their third doctrine lol.
