So the price of the Impulsor hasn't yet been revealed, but I think we can assume it will be considerably more than a Razorback.
My son has Hellblasters and I really think he needs transports for them. Since my boys buy their own models with their allowance, that's gotten my wheels turning on how to get a couple cheaply for him.

So what do you think of converting Impulsors out of Razorbacks?
Cut the back open, use the lascannons as rear engines (cut the barrels off) and use the Heavy Bolters as Storms (drill 2 holes in the barrel) and finally use the treads on the sides as the hover generator plates. Put on a flight base and profit.

Thoughts or suggestions?

I'd wait a week or two until we get some better photos of it - as some of them make it look bigger than a rhino:

Oof. I'm not totally sold on the Impulsor anyway, but that angle makes it an ugly beast.

@Galef - I'd err on the side of caution as beast suggests - but a razorback may be a better option. If I were doing the conversion, I'd get some spare pintle stormbolters off the Bay of E, mount them in each hatch, and perhaps some plasticard tubing, drilled through and popped into the heavy bolters could make for good stubbers. Provided you can find a cheap RB on eBay, then the extra's shouldn't cost you too much more. Maybe some plasticard for grav plates?

If you are adamant going this route. You could add some of the exhausts from eldar weapons platforms and TAU tank variants if you have any spare bits.

I'm still waiting on the price reveal. I can get new Razorbacks on eBay for $40. If the Impulsor is only $50, it's worth it to just get them at that price. $60+ is when the Hover Razorback conversion becomes more appealing

Looking at some of the picture it does look like a flying rhino chasis to me but I'm no Sm aficionado. Best wait till you can see one and compare to a razor back maybe.

That being said, that sounds like a good deal on razorbacks. unless your boys don't need any more razorbacks

We can probably safely assume it'll be hideously expensive. I'll bet 60-75 bucks US.

The whole Primaris line looks like 80s cartoon toys. Do the public libraries in your area have 3D printers yet? Many American libraries are getting them which makes converting proxies much easier.
