Hey mates. I have my IG Army progressing very well and after some much thought, I decided to make my own Regiment and I like the idea of using on modernized Russian theme. Will be using Cadian models as my Infantry and with that being the case, what do you think would be a good color scheme for them to match the Russian-Theme?

Plan to use this to test it out, so please specify the colors of the Fatigues and the armor.

I just painted them grey and called them things like KomBat Petrichenko.

How modern? Post-Soviet?

Please note, there are a variety of aftermarket companies that make dribbles: heads, arms, weapons. You can use these to personalize your force more Russia style. What does a modern Russian force theme are you going for? AKA by modern do you mean current forces, or older USSR? I'm so old I don't know what modern Russian forces really look like.

Yeah, Anvil greatcoats and sci-fi ushanka heads will really sell the whole Russian thing, but they are (marginally) more expensive than Cadians and there are only three ushanka heads.

Should have been more specific so I apologize for the confusion. However I am looking for Russian themed and paint schemes for my army which has cadian models.

Ok, so post-Soviet yes? Russia, not the CCCP or the Russian SFSR?

I must confess, I don't really know how to make Cadians look, necessarily, Russian, unless you slap the 'Flag Rossii' all over them.

I am going to put red stars all over my dudespeople, but they're based heavily on the Red Army so that wouldn't work for you.

I suggest looking at Bolt Action and Flames of War/Team Yankee Russian color schemes.
