Do people think the anchorite from Apocalypse will be a throw away character, or will GW do something with him?

i have to admit i loved the idea of a loyalist word bearer surviving into 40k and i wonder if we might see others start coming out of the wood work

definatly a throw away character. if anythings done with him it'll be Josh Reynolds writing follow up stories or something

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

It was a cool character but kind of undercuts Beorn the Fell-Handed entirely. I guess it’s not enough to introduce new Marines that are better than the old ones in every way. GW has to undermine every old character’s schtick too.

i wondered if it might be the start of a return of logar arc, the flushing of the more secular word bearers

He is not the first, though. FW books already have Red Talons contemptor (Skara Brae) dating to the earliest wars of Heresy, so older by Bjorn by at least couple centuries. That ship had sailed years ago.

yeah I'll ignore that. I don't mind seeing chaos marines that old. but Bjprn is noted to be stated as the oldest space marine

Yea, no. Bjorn is the oldest space marine on the loyalist side in active duty and I'll ignore anything that tries to change that. GW can't get out of it's own way with wreaking it's own setting.

I've always thought it woul;d be neat to see a Contemptor version of Bjorn.

I wouldn't mind him getting a newer dread body as long as they keep the wolf pelts and the space wolf style fist. I love the blender hand that their dreads have.
