Prior to the Chaos Knights codex being released, I'd been playing a 1000 point all-Armiger Renegade Knights list. I've since started playing them as a Chaos Knights. Now that my War Dogs are all painted, I'm about to build a Despoiler from the Warden kit I picked up new on eBay for £50 , so this will be a 1500 points list:

++ Super-Heavy Detachment +3CP (Chaos - Chaos Knights) [79 PL, 6CP, 1,497pts] ++

+ No Force Org Slot [6CP] +

Battle-forged CP [3CP]

Detachment CP [3CP]

+ Lord of War [79 PL, 1,497pts] +

Knight Despoiler [25 PL, 457pts]: 4. Warp-haunted Hull, Character (Traitoris Lance), Heavy stubber [2pts], Infernal Household, Ironstorm Missile Pod [16pts], Thermal cannon [55pts], Tzeentchian Pyrothrone, Warlord
. Avenger gatling cannon and heavy flamer [99pts]: Avenger gatling cannon [85pts], Heavy flamer [14pts]

War Dogs [18 PL, 348pts]
. War Dog [9 PL, 174pts]: Infernal Household, Meltagun [14pts], Thermal spear and Reaper chain-cleaver
. War Dog [9 PL, 174pts]: Infernal Household, Meltagun [14pts], Thermal spear and Reaper chain-cleaver

War Dogs [18 PL, 346pts]
. War Dog [9 PL, 174pts]: Infernal Household, Meltagun [14pts], Thermal spear and Reaper chain-cleaver
. War Dog [9 PL, 172pts]: Heavy stubber [2pts], Infernal Household, Two War Dog autocannons [10pts]

War Dogs [18 PL, 346pts]
. War Dog [9 PL, 174pts]: Infernal Household, Meltagun [14pts], Thermal spear and Reaper chain-cleaver
. War Dog [9 PL, 172pts]: Heavy stubber [2pts], Infernal Household, Two War Dog autocannons [10pts]

++ Total: [79 PL, 6CP, 1,497pts] ++

I appreciate that taking 3 TITANIC knights would give me an extra 3CP, but I want to use my War Dogs too, and even at 1500 points I'm not sure that taking 3 TITANIC knights would be great for my opponents (it's why I wasn't taking any at 1000 points). Each autocannon Wardog has it's own bodyguard during deployment (as with my 1000 points list), and I've chosen INFERNAL HOUSEHOLD mainly because the idea of daemonic knights appeals. I've also given my Despoiler the Tzeentchian Pyrothrone and Warp-haunted Hull so he essentially becomes a psi-knight

Hey man that list looks fun to play with and against.
Idk how you feel about forgeworld or non wysiwyg but you could really use some tesla dogs in there so you have some anti horde. They're also slightly cheaper.

The main thing to consider is that lone knight. In such a list I think 1 will probably get focused down to early to enjoy it much. A second despoiler minimally tooled would be beneficial to the whole list. Takes you from 7 to 6 models and gains 3 cp.

Anyway just some ideas.

I've not played a horde yet with my War Dogs but I think I could cope with running the autocannon models as Moiraxes with lightning locks (if that's what you mean by teslas). It would be interesting to see how the autocannons perform.

Not sure about the second Despoiler - I'd need a third to get 6CP for the detachment...

You could run 2 detachments of 2 armigers and one despoiler. I think Moirax is a good call, they're almost as good as helverins at armour and much better vs troops.

yes exactly on all that. Double SH detachments each worth 3 and some lightning locks aka tesla dogs lol.

And here is where infernal will really shine making them S7 ap2 d2. Just in time for the insurgence of primaris.
