Who else got this?

Which house did you choose? What do you think of the new Harry Potter/Persona mechanics as well as the tactical RPG part?

I'm currently in month 12 I believe. Don't remember which chapter it is. Picked the Golden Deer. I'm greatly enjoying the game. but I'm only getting in a couple hours at a time. So progress is slow. It's also really frustrating how slow it is to level up my skills because I want to recruit everyone. lol

I love it. Really love it.

Haven't got to timeskip yet, month 9 I think. The dance.

Picked blue lions. Got Hilda to join my house.

Really enjoying it so far. I decided on the Golden Deer house and managed to get a decent roster of characters from other houses including, Ashe, Bernadette, Petra, Ingrid and Mercedes.

Of those, the only one I have so far is bernadette. She was like my second recruit. My Flying and Horse are still at E rank. My goal is to at least get all the mage, sword, bow, and lance characters recruited. but it's not going well.

I just got Bernie upgraded to Bow Knight and she’s a monster.

69hrs in and still loving it, so much so that I bought a 2ds so I could get the other FE games.

Yeah I only played Awakening before this one (Fates hit at a bad time financially and I then I fell off the 3ds bandwagon). Is it bad that the primary reason I stick with the game is character support level stories? I mean don't get me wrong. XCOM and other similar tactics games are my favorite. But the thing that makes fire emblem shine for me is the personal story stuff, rather than the tactics gameplay which often boils down to "bait the AI correctly"

Yeah while the main game is fun I have stayed for the stories some of which are so casually horrific in comparison to each other that it can be jarring. I have just placed Bernie’s father under house arrest much to her relief after following her story through the main character and Dorrathey’s that seems like a mild result and I should be able to execute him.

I played Golden Deer and have no regrets but given what I now know I think I would find it difficult to play through with the other houses, saying that since there is a new game+ I will be playing through again.

Yeah NG+ is supposed to make it way more bearable to get through everything again. You can even spend the renown from missions to buff up your skills without spending actions to make recruiting easier.

I'm only in Chapter 7 right now, playing as Black Eagles. Really enjoying the game so far. Taking a short break to play some No Man's Sky since it's big update, though.
I don't have much history with the Fire Emblem games, having only played a little bit of Fates, but I do play the mobile Fire Emblem Heroes game.

The requirement for them seems to be lowered if you have a higher support with them. Managed to get Felix and Dorothea too. I think Dorothea was one of the first that came on side.

A B-support really brings the requirement down.

Also, if you are female Byleth (Bylass?) Sylvain will join you as soon as you ask.

Well I finished my golden deer run and while the last battle leans more to tedious than challenging overall I enjoyed it a lot.

Found the story ending I got satisfying and it feels like the best possible outcome. Despite planning not to I am now accidentally 8hrs into a new game+ blue lion run.

Finished BEagles, now starting Blue Lions.

Well my 2nd play through is going well, I was able to recruit all the students which was nice. The Blue Lion story has been different enough from the golden deer to keep me interested even if it feels less satisfying. Probably because grown up Dimitri is a douche even if he has a good excuse.

I still haven't finished my first run. lol. I'm currently on date 3/21. I got almost everyone recruited but 2. Petra and Ferdinand.

I'm on my second gameplay with Golden Deer. I'm trying to make Lysithea a Mortal Savant instead of Gremory.

Unless you get lucky at lvl up or use all your boosts she is to squishy for a Mortal Savant she makes a good dancer though. Felix is an amazing MS and Petra is good as well.

On another note I finished my 2nd run through and the Blue Lion story is good but I think the Golden Deer story is a touch better. Going to take a break and play some astral chain for a bit before I decide if I bother with a Black Eagle play through as I just don’t see how that becomes an enjoyable story even if it fills some plot holes.
