Androgynous Daemon Prince of Slaanesh
|
Supreme command:
Be’Lakor: Infernal gaze, Death Hex
Syll’Eske: Symphony of Pain, Hysterical Frenzy
Daemon Prince w/Wings, Mark of Khorne, Axe (Skullreaver)
Daemon Prince w/Wings, Mark of Nurgle, Sword (Corruption), Miasma of Pestilence
Daemon Prince w/Wings, Mark of Tzeentch, Sword (Impossible Robe), Gaze of Fate
Battalion detachment:
Herald of Khorne
Herald of Slaanesh
9 Brimstone Horrors + 1 Pink Horror
3 Nurgling Swarms
3 Nurgling Swarms
Comes in at 1248pts. This gives me 9 CPs to work with, 3 of which go to giving the hellforged artifacts. I’m also thinking of making the Tzeentch Prince the general to gain Incorporeal Form. Thought process is this: the Nurglings scout to be closest models and hide. The Tzeentch and Nurgle Princes, with their high defense go out front and pave the way for Syll’Eske, Be’Lakor and the Khorne Prince (Titan-Killer) to rush up, unmolested to crump whatever they hit. Thoughts? Would this only be viable in a friendly game? Tourney level? There is no “reason” to the two heralds, besides “cheap”. And the Horrors can hide backfield on an objective.

You're going to struggle with so few bodies against a decent gunline or a hoarde. It's really only a for fun list as is.
You need a few more bodies. I'd lose the two heralds and move two of the princes out of the supreme command detachment and into the battalion. If you swap out the pink for another brim (the 1 dice smite hardly ever works and what does it matter if you lose one brimstone?). Then you can swap a unit nurglings for 25 plaguebearers or horrors at a stretch. That way you'll have some board control. You can move a turn or two behind a screen giving you chance to get into combat.
They'll still be some hard counters to this list, tau in particular will be very difficult to deal with but at least with the plaguebearers you'll be letting your daemon princes do what they do best and smash some faces

Man, sometimes I get so tunnel-visioned that I lose track of the basics! Good call, I don't need to max out that Supreme Detachment. I can (and will) put two princes into the regular battalion. It'll actually afford me the points to drop the horrors for a big unit of Plaguebearers. Two upfield units that have to get blown away before any non-snipers can even target the Princes, and a big objective holder that doesn't want to die. So yeah, I know there are very few bodies on the field. But creating a frustration for my opponent to only be able to target obnoxious swarms that are hiding before he can even consider the meat of the list dancing out in the open...a psychological warfare all its own. A frustrated opponent makes mistakes, and it's as much a head game as a dice game.
I...may be a bit of a nasty player!
So....Three of the princes (Syll, Khorne, Tzeentch) go in the Supreme
Two (Be'Lakor and Nurgle) in the battalion with 2 units of 3 Nurglings and one unit of 21 Plaguebearers. Gives me 1245pts. There is nowhere I can add 5pts.
Sound like a better plan?

Sounds loads better. My favourite trick is to put the nurglings in close combat with something they'll never kill but will never kill them, like shooty dreads or scout sentinals and run princes up the board.
I regularly use 2 khorne princes (with both relics) and a Tzeentch prince as warlord (same setup as you proposed). Works really well with a mixed daemon hoarde. Finding a way to squeeze more princes in there can only help!

Sounds good. I wanted to keep to one codex to manage things easier; plus I just have an affinity for Daemon Princes. I own like something like 12...
Maybe next one can be a Samus conversion. Hmmm...
