Playing tau next week and i have added 3 hellbrutes to my team. what is the best layout for them?P

Well you're never making it into combat with Tau, so I'd say lascannon/missile launcher.

Depending on their army list, Tau vs Khorne is about as bad a match-up as you can get though. Good luck.

LC/ML is ok, if you can take out the shield drones first, if not LC/ML will be nullified by them. Otherwise go twin power scourge, 12 attacks with S8 AP-2 D2 when charging. Use warptime on one to bring him forward as a distraction carnifex.

I thought khorne can't use warptime?

I assume you're World Eaters? Then two Fists are nice and cheap as you still have many attacks.
Important against Tau will be to have enough things marching onto the enemy to distract from the brutes as they're rather squishy, but that shouldn't be a problem with Khorne.

You just pick a detachment that isn't khorne bound.
There you pick the psyker. Codex internal soup so to speak.

I don't think you can do the double scourge. Not even via Index shenanigans-I don't think it was EVER an option.

Scourge+Fist for drones and infantry, otherwise double fists and charge a riptide.

Hard part is dealing with 30+ models overwatching on every charge.
