You need an American distributor ASAP, if you can sell that whole base range as a box on Amazon I’m in.

Oh we're working on it!

However, as our International rates are quite low, it's just as cheap to buy from us direct if you purchase a sizeable amount

We certainly can, I believe one of our testers did some on a darker undercoat, with the Pure Range, they are more like transparent paints but with a higher concentration, the amount we used here wouldn't instantly show up, but a thicker application would result in better coverage and still dry to a paper thin, tough finish, however if you subscribe to our Youtube Channel we'll get a video up soon as we're planning to do a series on the Alpha Paints

Yeah, literally my first thought was "Oh, white goes over light grey fairly well, not very surprising."

I’ve had problems with Ceramite over gray primer. :/

Yeah, two coats of white over grey is sufficient with most brands of paint.

I can believe it, GW's white paints have universally been garbage, and Ceramite White was the worst of the bunch.

Hi guys,

To answer your questions we showcased a selection of the range on our Twitch stream yesterday where we purely did the colours over Black and White basecoats.

One important thing to remeber if I hadn't mentioned it on the clip is that the "Pure" range on the line are transparent in nature, but even this gives a pretty good coverage over black, anything else that isn't in the "Pure" range...well....you'll see

I'm sorry, but that Twitch video had me shouting at my computer screen, and I couldn't finish it.

Stop overselling your paint. It's possible that these are actually really good when they're used properly, but putting red paint over black so thickly that it's pooling, and then claiming that you've covered it in 'just two coats' is not doing you any favours at all.

The red with the matte+ mixed in seemed to be drying with white splotches in it. And the yellow wasn't covering the black on your test paper anywhere near as well as the earlier model video that you shared a while back.

And no, you can't really load your brush up like that, if you want it to last more than one painting session without destroying it.

If you're going to continue talking your paints up the way you have been, you need to be showing results that back up your claims. This video doesn't do that. The results over black look about as bad as I would expect thin paint to look over black. Over the white looks ok, but the matte additive seems to do nasty things to the finish.

Honestly, I would recommend that you wind back the hyperbole, and just focus on getting some actual paintjobs on actual miniatures to showcase what the paint can do. The product is going to look its best when it's used for what it's intended to do.

No problem, though you can put it on that thickly and it still dries paper thin so you can do it in one coat, The "Pure" range (Regarding the Red and Yellow you mentioned), as explained in the video, is transparent in nature so this is why the coverage is not as great as compared to the Pale Yellow and Beach Sand (The pre mixed colours) that were done later on in the video which were totally opaque on the black, also the yellow that was shared earlier was over a white basecoat which in the video does show good coverage over the white.

And yes you can load your brush up like that and still continue on as these paints wash out of your brush quite easily given how thin they are.

But as you said, you didn't watch the video in full so I don't know if you got past the "Pure" range of paints to the rest of the range or the explanation of the Matte+ and Gloss+ and how they work, It was all raw footage and done in real time, not done over multiple days and shoots

Anyway, models? Sure!

Edo Kalkmans SMC Gold medal winning pieces, the Lizards NMM Gold Armour was done using the new Alpha paints

All painted by super_sarah1313 over on instagram, an extremely talented artist by all accounts, around 30-45 minutes per piece

And this is my Skaven Bloodbowl team, minus the metallics all done with Alpha too, All painted in half a day

And not totally finished but this is the Dark Blue with Mid Yellow on the trim of the Pauldrons, Mid Yellow on the crest with the trim done with Pure Yellow, Pure Red on the lenses and Pure Black on the guns, that was around a 20 minute job to that point....

Morning,

If anyone's interested tonight, MonkeysWithFire will be showcasing the new Alpha line on his channel tonight (7PM GMT), he has the full selection including our coveted Water+ and the new Matte+ and Gloss+ additives

Get to see the paint in action as well as asking us and the Simian Collective (Pascal, Edo, Sarah and Snik) who will also be there any questions about the range, they've had the set for several weeks now and had plenty of time to play with it!

We look forward to seeing you there!
