Excited About the Great Crusade

My local store is starting an escalation league, and I figured I'd have a go at it.

+Outrider Detachment: ~490+

Lord with thunder hammer: Stoic advance, Insidium: 95

Hellforged contemptor with twin heavy bolters and chain claw with hellflamer: 160

Chaos spawn: 25

I'm wanting to go for a more elite focus early on and helbrutes lacked the kind of punch I wanted.
My plan is to march the dreads up the board, staying within the lords re-roll and moving with heavy weapons bubble for 35/36 accuraccy, putting out some shots before entering melee with the. With their six attacks each on the charge at S14, -4 ap, flat 4 damage, and preemptive 2 damage heavy flamer shots, they will soften up infantry before hitting harder targets in assault. The spawn are largely there to serve as cheap detachment filler that are still somewhat tough and mobile. I am aware that spawn got points decreases but have yet to get the book, though I doubt it takes them low enough to fit anything more in. As the event goes on, I plan to add a hellwright on abeyant for the additional attacks, Alpha legion plasma teams, another dread or two, and finish off with a knight.

I think bringing 2 dreadnoughts in a 500 points list is a bit much, you and your opponents will have more fun if you mix it up a little.
