So I have recently returned to the hobby after a 25 year break (yeah im old) and even then it was just the odd command model or terminator, I recently painted a model and enjoyed it! but that was a few months ago and I haven't done anything since...
I have never played a game of
40k in my life yet for some reason I am about to embark on building and painting a Primaris army
I have just ordered a ton of stuff in the post and am awaiting arrival..
I have bought
- 1 Captain in Phobos armour, equipped with a master-crafted instigator bolt carbine and a camo cloak
- 1 Librarian in Phobos armour, equipped with a force sword, holstered bolt pistol, camo cloak and psychic hood
- 1 Lieutenant in Phobos armour equipped with a master-crafted occulus bolt carbine, grav-chute and pair of combat knives
- 3 Suppressors (including a Suppressor Sergeant) equipped with accelerator autocannons and a grav-chutes
- 3 Eliminators (including an Eliminator Sergeant) equipped with bolt sniper rifles and camo cloaks
- 10 Infiltrators (including an Infiltrator Sergeant and Infiltrator Helix Adept) equipped with bolt carbines
- 1 Primaris Space Marine Captain, resplendent in cloak and iron halo, holding aloft a master-crafted power sword in one hand and wielding a boltstorm gauntlet on the other;
- 5-man Primaris Space Marine Intercessor Squad ā armed with bolt rifles and bolt pistols;
- 3-man Primaris Space Marine Inceptor Squad ā armed with assault bolters;
- 5-man Primaris Space Marine Hellblaster Squad ā armed with plasma incinerators and bolt pistols.
- Primaris Redemptor Dreadnought
I realise I may have some overlap here, but this is the shadowspear primaris marines and the know no fear ones too, plus the dreadnought, I will happily buy more once these are done but I thought those two sets were a good start.
I have also bought basing supplies and tools
So the next decision is to choose a chapter, This is currently not fully decided but I always wanted a blood angels army back in the day so I think thats probably the way I might go!
Aiming for a reasonable tabletop standard with special attention to command models. Cant wait to get started. Once complete I will see if I can find a game and see if i even enjoy playing! but I know i get a good sense of achievement painting so nothing to lose.
I will be updating this post as things progress
