af.. That's why I'm try to get the books at least second handed.
My advice, as a former
HH player, is to really make the best of the plastic Mk 3 and Mk 4 kits, get them as often as you can.
And our Chinese friends often times produce things of variable quality. Sometimes they're better than the Forge World kits. Sometimes you get a "It's a Sicaran in a funhouse mirror". And sometimes, you spend hours looking for the assembly instructions online and when you finally get them, you realize the reason you were confused is because you're missing a piece. So, I would say if you're gonna do it illegitimate, you're better buying from the Móguǐ you know and have seen the quality. Otherwise, be prepared to spend just as much money as you would being authentic, and having a collection of warped or incomplete models alongside your decent ones.
And I would also suggest getting really good at conversions, if you're not good already. Trying to get "the actual kit" from Forge World for everything will cost you a lot of money. If you buy the "upgrade kits" for your legion, I suggest only using them for veterans or special units. Shapeways is your friend.

Ivan needs time, that's all. Just give him time. He always comes through.
