Is there a way to equipt a model with a weapon it would not normally get if it was being made into a character. I am making a "wolf priest" and I would like to equipt him with plasma blaster I pulled from my spare bits. Is there a way to allow it to fly?

IIRC, Chapter Approved has 'create your own character' rules.

I haven't read or used them, so no further comment.

Unfortunately they don't allow that either.

Can Wolf Priest have combi-plasma? That might be a closest equivalent in the rules.

They just give extra abilities to characters, with no associated points costs or other balancing factors suggested.

At best they are a narrative tool, but honestly even there you're best off staying well clear!

They are absolutely not for matched play anyway, so probably not an option for the OP.

If it's an option on the datasheet, go for it, even if there isn't a model like that at the moment. Even if there's nothing quite right, if there's something close enough (e.g. a plasma pistol or a combi-plasma), maybe it could work as one of those? (Thus works particularly well if you use it as a Relic version of a standard weapon)

If it's not an option on the datasheet, but your main reason for doing it is rule of cool or because it's primarily a modelling / painting piece, also go ahead - but be aware that you should ask your opponent's permission before using it in a game, and be prepared to either sub the model out or treat it as having a legal piece of wargear instead.

Closest you’ll get is a combo-plasma, although turning a Plasma Blaster into a combi-plasma could actually look pretty cool being a bigger weapon and all.

What is it never seen one. I was just going to play it as a plasma pistol. Though I remember reading somewhere that said wolf preist had enough clout to get older armor and maintained the groups relics.

The page headed 'Wolf Priest' and which includes statistics, armaments and options for same is his Datasheet. As in, a sheet with his data on it,
