I'd prefer MegaConstrux, their mini action figures are leagues superior to the LEGO Minifigs.
Plus, China already makes KO LEGO IG.
Gods could you imagine the rules arguments. GW would take the "its you'r game do what you want" stance that they typically take; whilst events would take the "please use official GW models and not models under licence from Lego". I could see PAGES and PAGES of DAKKA arguments about how lego Imperial Guard should be allowed and how they are more faithful to the lore/scaling and a million other arguments. Heck we might even see "lego designed terrain boards" rise up as a thing!

Gw usually previews side game stuff at Gama which starts on March 9th. I would expect to see warcry and bloodbowl stuff there. The toy fair is for weirder stuff.

The new anime series, seems to try and expand into the Asian and Western markets simultaneously. With anime like castlevania and all of the Ghibli classis coming to Netflix in full force and capturing new audiences this certainly seems like a path.
The Lego concept is an interesting one. I don't think it would really be a competition with miniatures on its own merits, but more like a gateway/entry for really young uns. My naphew is too young for something as delicate as modelling. But he is all over Lego. I can see him progressing onto models once hes a bit older. However, I can certainly see people rocking up with Full Lego armies wanting to play 40k... Not sure how Id feel about that..
With the Eisenhorn testing newer waters still on the horizon. Certainly interesting times ahead and some choppy waters to navigate for GW. I don't think they will flunder like D&D because the availability of platforms and resource in the modern day are nothing like what D&D had back in the day..
God...I Just had a dark vision that if 40k ever goes mainstream along the anime paths, it would mean that inevitably we would see a wave of Warhammer SM based Yaoi & Weird slaneshi themed hentai arise.. By the emperor I hope this does not come to pass!!!! *shuddering*

I’m also wanting the Scions, though I don’t think we will see them at the Toy Fair.....doesn’t seem par for course. I think we will probably see them at GAMA alongside a Blood Bowl team next month.
All that said I can secretly hope for more Blitz Bowl stuff.....because that game is fantastic and is a B&N product.

I'd all up for settlers of catachan and make it an Aus/NZ only thing.
Your point presumes I want or would defend such things - my track record on the issue is consistent, I despise "exclusives" of any form, just sell the sodding product to everyone.

The Eldar alre already walking anime tropes, long thin brooding beautiful.
The path system would generate every kind of shounen story line, because they are always about improving your skills to defeat everyone and master your art.
Food wars: path of the chef
Any fighting anime: path of the warrior - but don't get lost or you will fall
Evangellion: titan clan juniors
Hentai (all of it): commoragh nights
Puella Magi Madoka Magica: path of the Seer
Any travelling loner anime: path of the outcast
The Eldar wear enough skintight clothing and outlandish garb to be characters in any young kids anime regardless.
BrookM wrote: Uhm, if they're doing a proper anime, it'll be about Titans or Imperial Knights, mecha are their bread and butter after all.
I think the CG Angels of death seems to be more about Big war machines and is aimed more at the Gamer western space marine player.
The animation seems to be more character-driven (Naruto in space...) and more about universe building.
The children cartoon thing.. Some garbage for kids.

The only armies suitable for mecha genre action are Eldar, tau and Tyranids. You've got your lithe lightning quick Evangelion style.mecha, your blocker, more machine like military mecha and an obligatory alien Monster force.
Imperial and Ork mecha are so slow and ponderous you don't see their style much in anime.
And the majority of anime isn't even mecha, that's just what was exported to the West. Most of it is slice of life, or heiress journey in gimmick land - one of my favourite anime is about a kid that bakes bread....
BrookM wrote: Uhm, if they're doing a proper anime, it'll be about Titans or Imperial Knights, mecha are their bread and butter after all.
not really, Anime mecha tends to be fairly manuverable, Imperial Knights and titans are more part of the "westren mecha tradtion" oweing more to BATTLEtech then ROBOtech
Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

They are not scratch made, I had my cousin help me do a search here in China, and bam, there they are.
Edit: picked up a platoon of LEGO cadians:
6 man variety pack x2(1 set sacrificed to cousin’s 4 yr old)
Single plasma gunner x2
Combination platoon(20 lasgun, 1 bolt pistol) x2

That'd require GW to actually decide what slaanesh is supposed to be about, and they'll never do it, since 40k is far too child-friendly right now to risk it. Gore and slaughter are fine, marines kissing marines would be icky
oweing more to BATTLEtech then ROBOtech
It's called Macross (or any of the other two animes HG butchered) thank you, Robotech is what happens when you need to syndicate enough episodes for US TV and have no shame

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units." Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?" Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?" GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!" Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.
You know what would be funny? If they did a WH40k Isekai, because even if the main character inevitably gets super powers (because Isekai are like that), he still has a rough time because WH40k is designed to be a miserable experience for everyone in that world. Its like an anti-isekai, where instead of the main character getting OP powers and becoming a huge mary sue where everything is easy and somehow gets a harem, the MC gets OP powers and still has a bad time and the harem consists of, idk, slaaneshi cultists who are into some horrible gak.
Like, yeah sure, you might have Alpha psyker level powers in Isekai 40k, but now you're targeted by both demons and Sisters of Silence, so have fun. That would be like, I don't know, NGE levels of trolling. Bonus points if they pull a madoka and start off typical isekai, and then bam, first friend in the setting gets his head bitten clean off by an Ork in the second episode.

Edit: picked up a platoon of LEGO cadians:
6 man variety pack x2(1 set for cousin’s 4 yr old)

Massively disagree.
Lego minifigures have an adorable charm and a sturdy possibility which makes them easy to pose and mass. Mega figures are too articulated for my liking. I know that's the point but its not what I want for that system. A brick-constructed system suits the more rigid Lego design of figure, and the popularity of them seems to indicate what the consumer prefers too.
Just look at those cute Cadians!

The Bandai chibis seem to be selling really well, so I'm guessing we'll get a Xenos group of 5:
- Fire Warrior
- Howling Banshee
- Ork Boy
- Genestealer Cult Hybrid
- Necron Warrior
