With PA comes testing new lists... Today will be a mixture of Farsight Enclave and customs septs.. I have 4 lists 2 of them will be identical with different septs.
Just trying to figure out what would work out best for my local store Highlander tournament in march.

First list is a farsight enclave with a crisis suit bomb of burst cannons and a hard to kill Iridium crisis suit ignoring -1 & -2 AP. General idea is give the crisis suits 3+ BS 4+ WS and give them Gatling burst cannons and Reactive countermeasures.

List 1

  • 1497 Points 8CP to start after getting extra relic for experiment weapons
    Battlion Farsight Enclave
    HQ
Enforcer Commander - x3 CiB, ATS
    Cadre

    Troops
    Breacher
    Kroot
    Strike

    Elites
    Firesight marksman
Riptide - HBC, SMS, ATS, VT
    x8 Crisis Shas'ui - x3 Burst cannon
    x1 Shas'vre - AFP, x2 Burst cannon
    x18 Shield Drones

    Outrider Sa'cea
    HQ
    Ethereal

    Fast Attack
    x4 Kroot Hounds
    x6 Pathfinders
    x1 Piranha - x1 Seeker missile
Alternatively would choosing a custom sept choice with Hybridised Weaponry and Turbo-jets be better?

  • List 2

  • Again for this list i'd give the crisis suits the 3+ BS 4+WS
1500 Points 8 CP 7-5CP after giving ghostkeel experiment weapons depending on matchup.
    Battlion Farsight Enclave
    HQ
Enforcer Commander - x3 CiB, ATS
    Cadre

    Troops
    Breacher
    Kroot
    Strike

    Elites
Riptide - HBC, SMS, ATS, VT
Ghostkeel - FC, Flamers, SG ( Optional Advanced EM scrambler and Fusion obliterator)
    Crisis Suits - x6 Shas'ui - x2 CiB, ATS - Shas'vre - AFP, CiB, ATS, Iridium Armour - x14 Shield Drones
    Firesight Marksman

    Fast Attack
    x7 Pathfinders
    x12 Gun drones

And again would custom sept with Turbo-jets and Hybridised Weaponry be better?
I am running low on CP with both Farsight lists to begin with and i would only have enough CP for 1-2 Coordinated Engagement. with the other custom septs I might be able to add another attempt with it. Either way I'm hoping 1-2 is all I need.

Troops are unique too? What are the rules as written? What are the missions like?

Troops lose the unique role when you take all available troops slots for your army.. 2 detachments only.. And its going to be chapter approved missions

Not sure if this is legal but... how about

    Battalion Detachment: (Farsight Enclaves)

    1 Enforcer CIBx3, ATS, 2 shield drones
    1 Commander Farsight

    5 Firewarriors, marker-light, 2 x shield drones
    5 Breachers, 2 x shield drones
    10 Kroot

1 Riptide HBC, SMS, ATS, Drone Controller
8 Crisis Suits (plasma rifle, missile pod, ATS) (3 x iridium armor), 6 drones (3 shield, 3 marker)

    Outrider Detachment: Farsight Enclaves
    1 Coldstar w/ 4 x Fusion Blasters, 2 shield drones

    6 Tactical Drones (3 shield, 3 marker)
    5 Pathfinders
    4 Kroot Hound

1498pts, 20 drones (14 shield), 12 marker-lights, 9cp. All guns are dangerous. I would probably choose 2 relics, the anti-psycher one, and the puretide engram chip. I would upgrade your crisis bomb for 2cp (3BS, 4WS), so you start the game with a mere 6cp, but can regenerate some.

Use the 5 marker-light stratagem once, after that command and control node, the rest of the turns.

I tried making something with =Hybridized Weapons and Upgunned, but range sucks, and output isn't any better and no farsight benefit, and against a vehicle heavy list, you'll be scrambling the entire time. I doubt it would be fun.

Per detachment, and this list is using 3 commanders all with different data sheets :-) Anyhow this list also won't have to deal with leadership issues with large units of drones. In fact only the crisis suits and the kroot can break, and if the kroot go... no one cares, and with enough drones nearby... hopefully we don't take so many casulaties that we need a break check for the XV8s.

In my 2000pt list I'm using 9 crisis bodyguards, for 3 attacks each with ATS. They are actually half decent in melee, especially with furious assault stratagem, and Farsight nearby for buffing.
