So we can finally preorder Jain Zar and the Banshees or Drazhar and the Incubi as stand alone kits. Just wondering how many people will by them now that they don't have to buy the huge box to get them.

I certainly want all of the new models, but I probably won't have the funds for all 4 kits at once. I haven't started collecting Eldar yet, but I do have a small force of DE, so that's probably my entry point. Both Banshees and Incubi saw some improvements with PA, and I feel like they each have potential. Some of the custom CW traits in Phoenix Rising really support Banshees too.


It only took 5 months for the kits to be released as separates. That's not bad in GW time.

I might pick up some Banshees. I don't even play Eldar.

I bought Drazhar and five Incubi through a bits store shortly after BotP came out.

They are really lovely models though, I thoroughly recommend them.

Because I've got exactly the same use for (more) Banshees & a new Zar sculpt and any Dark Eldar as I did before BotP - none.
(Banshees are my least favorite aspect playwise, so the ages old 15 + original Zar I've already got is enough & I don't play DE)

Now when they get around to re-doing Fire Dragons,& Swooping Hawks...

If I could somehow get all the Drazhars they made and recycle them as waste plastic that'd be cool. But I don't want to pay for them.

The Incubi may be alright though, the next time (if ever) they get rules that aren't total garbage.

Shadowspear was 100% new units, and everything is avaliable outside shadowspear, (don't expect the exclusive stuff to get new stuff until a new SC box comes out) this was a box set with a handful of new units in amongst some old, 4-6 months is the norm for this kinda release. I'd say it's right on schedule.

I wouldn't count that as separate.

I've really been wanting to replace my (2E?) metals with plastic, but not at the prices GW wants to charge.

Somewhere down the line, I may pick up someone's assembled and painted plastics - I recently did that to expand my base CWE army and got them for cheaper than if I'd done them from scratch.

I wouldn't count that as separate.

Aren't those mixed bits so you can't have just separate spider sprue from others? If so apples and oranges. These are designed for solo releases as they are full kit sprues rather than mono pose sprues of shadowspear.
