I’ve seen some really cool vehicle mods for chaos that make it look like a demon has possessed the vehicle. I might have a go at a conversion myself using a second hand rhino I picked up.
Are there any rules nocking around for such a vehicle?

Alas no, there aren't really rules for making standard vehicle possessed.
For narrative play a good way of doing it would be to add the Hellforged rule that varous forgeworld chaos vehicles have.

They were lost in the move to 8th edition.
The rules were along the lines of reduced BS, wound regeneration and a slight danger of eating one of its passengers...

The idea of a possessed vehicle eating one of its passengers always made me smile.
Shame that rule was lost.

You're not. If you're worried about your opponent using 'fake' rules, you're having fun the wrong way. This hobby isn't about rules. It's about buying Citadel miniatures.

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH. |

It is indeed a shame. I have a half-painted Vindicator that I started building towards the end of 7th edition with some possessed effects that I was rather pleased with...
