At the moment, I'm just buying units for the first 1k points. So far I've got a chaplain Dreadnought which was revoltingly expensive...I got gouged horribly on it (Tyberos and this grant +2S combined) a bunch of tartaros termies (not super competitive and they will probably get tabled before they do anything as I understand it but I love the models so I don't care) a librarian in phobos, a lieutenant, some bikers, and a rhino. Still haven't decided on the bulk of elites and anti-tank/heavy. I'm planning on playing them as white scars and alternately as RG...probably. Carcharodons almost definitely aren't a white scars successor chapter, they're very likely either Raven Guard or Night Lords related, but they do fight like White Scars. Blitzkrieg and Retreat. They're pretty much a melee force, and White Scars rules fit them well.

I also bought a second-hand Grav captain from Ebay which I'm planning to kitbash and use for Tyberos The Red Wake Lord Reaper of the Void! I think the Forgeworld model is an insult to him and he deserves better. I'm reasonably handy with a dremel, I think I can do it. But FW will still get their blood fifty bucks because I need his Unique weapons, Hunger & Slake.
