I don't mean Nuceria or the various worlds where the first recruits were taken from, but the World Eater equivalent of Medrengard or Sicarus. There is the possibility that there is none since the various warbands often simply roam around to find more victims and that Angron might spend most of his time in the Realm of Chaos, but I'm still wondering if they in fact might have one world that they all go to from time to time. I would imagine that it would be some kind of lesser version of Khorne's realm, full of gladiatorial pits, constant warfare and herds of roaming daemons.

back during the great crusade era they where a fleet based legion without a distinct homeworld I suspect this trend continues after their retreat into the eye

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

All of the homeworlds for the traitor legion that had one seem to have been destroyed well before the 41st millennium.

The World Eaters Legion, as a unified entity, doesn't exist. Kharn is called "the Betrayer" for that very reason - he splintered the entire Legion into various warbands, and given Angron's absence, there isn't really a "true" World Eaters any more. Only warbands of the once-Legion.

Undoubtedly, there is a "largest" contingent of WE out there, there must be, but they don't really hold any kind of authority or power over the rest of the fractured Legion.

In that regard, the Word Bearers and Iron Warriors are set apart from many of their traitor brethren, in that they actually *have* a home, or unified Legion core.
Going down the list, we don't see many with set homeworlds:
Emperor's Children - splintered, fractured, just like the World Eaters at Skalathrax.
Iron Warriors - mostly unified, Mendrengard.
Night Lords - shattered, no homeworld, but Tsagualsa used to act in this regard, after Nostramo's loss.
World Eaters - as above, shattered, no homeworld.
Death Guard - Actually pretty unified, and reside on the Plague Planet.
Thousand Sons - Similarly unified (generally speaking), inhabiting Sortiarius.
Sons of Horus - used to have Maeleum, but since ruined. The Black Legion (who aren't really the Sons of Horus) are unified, however, but don't really have a single base of operations beyond the Vengeful Spirit.
Word Bearers - Unified, generally, holding Sicarius.
Alpha Legion - Shattered, no home.

There is no 'berserker' planet in the sense that the other devoted legions have planets.. However there is a planet where the audio book chosen of khorne takes place, which seems to be ruled by khorne and has many gladiatorial arenas.

I like how everyone assumes that the AL is shattered when we have 0 proof for that.

On the contrary, them ammasing flawlessly and organizing whole warhosts speaks infact for an highly intact if decentral chain of command.

A Mostly Renegades and Heretics blog.
GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

We have no reason to believe those warhosts are working in concert though too. May well be self-sufficient cells being able to self-coordinate, but we have no idea if the Legion itself is working together, or if they're split up. Thematically, and in the wider context of 40k, I believe them being a shattered, but highly self-sufficient Legion, makes so much more sense.

And considering we have cases of Alpha Legion daemon princes and otherwise largely independent groups (Hunt for Voldorius), I'm not sure how far I believe any theories of "they're all loyal in disguise" or "they're all unified".

Wasn't the original war hounds legion primarily from terra? I thought when they became the world eaters they also became fleet based, as there was no way they were pulling recruits from angrons homeworld.

All deeds that echo are painted in blood.
