Subject: Deep strike distance from enemy?

The way all my deep strike rules read is:
"set them up anywhere on the battlefield, more than 9" away from any enemy models."
Now the way I read this is 10"+ from enemy models since it says "more then 9" but I've watch a bunch of battle reports on youtube where people are saying its 9+ inches.
Which way do you all see it? 9" or 10"?
thank you
-Matt

If you set up 9.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 inches away, then its more than 9". But since our measuring tool, the tape measure, is unable to measure so precisely, and you dont have permission to use any other measuring tool, its ok to set up the unit 9.1" away.

p5freak is correct.
The game does not function in discreet units of 1". Any value greater than 9" is fine, of which there are an infinite number of valid values between 9"and 10".

The difference between my two Deff Dreads popping up 9" or 10" from my buddies Leman Russ tank would be substantial when it came time to charge. Easier to roll a 9+ then a 10+ on 2D6.

Nobody said it wasn't easier.
What they said was you had to be more than 9" away.
If you were directly at 9" when you deep struck, you would only need an 8" charge to be Within and inch and succeed.
You have to be more than 9" away, which means you have to roll at least a 9 on the dice to succeed with your charge.
But you do not have to set up right outside of 9" if you don't want too. You can put your guys 40" away if you want.

Ah I understand now, thank you. In terms of the rules there isn't a difference between 9.1" and 10" when it comes to the charge phase.
I also forgot you just had to get within 1" of the enemy model to succeed in the charge.

Theres potentially a big difference between 9.1" and 10" on the charge!
That difference might get more models into range of the enemy once you pile in etc.
