I still don't see the problem with spending CP's to unlock additional traits as being broken. If anything, what's broken is how easily certain armies can accrue +12 CP's with less than 1000 pt expenditure and then spend those CP's practically for 'free'.

It's broken because it's limited to a select few factions. And yes, cp generation is a big fething problem as well.

CP generation hasn't been a problem in a long time.

Well no, not if you like having to run double battalions all the time.

Perhaps I should have said certain armies being overly reliant on cp and strategems to function is a problem.

I prefer using CP for extra WL traits and the like. I think all CP should be used for pregame stuff.

Ah that makes a little more sense.

GW swung the nerfhammer too hard in my opinion. It wouldn't have killed them to just say "hey each of those regen things can only get back 1CP a turn each". Instead they killed it all.

Yeah unnerf that and change the smite-spam nerf to only apply to Characters (the actual problem), remove the Thousand Sons/Grey Knights exemption. A bunch of Grey Knight or Thousand Sons hiding behind a screen of Guardsmen/Horrors isn't any more fun than Primaris Psykers doing it, on the other side it's no more problematic having 3 squads of Wyrdvane Psykers or Horrors casting smite each turn than it is for 3 units of Rubrics or Grey Knight Terminators.
