I have a master of possessions as my only hq for my night lords army, is it dumb to have 2 sorcerers?

Depending on the makeup of your army, you could potentially benefit from two Masters of Possession. If you mean a Sorcerer, as in the Sorcerer datasheet, they get to select powers from a different psychic discipline and thus there would be no overlap.

It is generally good to have at least one Chaos Lord (or, commonly, Daemon Prince) in order to have access to their "reroll 1s to hit" aura.

A Daemon Prince can also cast psychic powers and may thus be exactly what you're looking for - a combination Lord-Sorcerer, as it were.

oh oops i should of said psykers, i have the terminator chaos lord/sorcerer sprue and had no idea which is better.

That again as mentioned depends on your list.
A lord might be better when you need reroll ones if you drop in Combiplas terminators.
A sorcerer might be better when you throw in Obliterators.

Sorcerers also are more commonly used for other shenanigans, aka 5+++ or -1 to hit, or to remove invuls via deathhex.
It's not x is just better then y. There's alot of context with Chaos HQ's.

I'd just build and play as either or. Aesthetically they can look the same.

Not a fan of Terminator characters to begin with. Their biggest advantage is deepstrike. Their weakness, he slow they are. A Lord babysitting a backfield could be useful, or a sorcerer hidden in your back pocket for a crucial spell, but it all depends.

As others have said it depends on your list. My emporers children list has one of each for the 10 man deep stikikg combi plasma team. Nothing says buh bye like 40 plasma gun shots hitting on 2's rerolling 1's with no chance of overheating (reroll from lord, prescience from sorcerer, in rapid fire range, and endless c. To shoot again). You can even throw vets of the long war on them depending on the target.

My black legion force i run abaddon and a term sorcerer. This gives the sorcerer another warlord trait and the relic angels bane, start him on the table and he just slaughters imperial infanty with little fear of getting targeted (unless there is a vindicare assassin floating around....)

So its a question of what your playing /running to which is better.

With night lords and you only have 1 other hq, a master of posession, being all the info we know it's kinda hard to say.
