Just a quick question.

I much prefer the aesthetic of the Primaris models to regular marines but do you think it would be ok to convert Primaris to be assault marines and use them as assault marines in the game? Or any of the regular marine units for that matter?

they can both be 40mm, although oldmarines have the option to be 28mm. As long as you don't mind your guys being a little easier to see. Alternately you could convert Mk IV Space Marines, they can be 28mm and they have primaris-style helmets (more accurately primaris have mk IV style helmets) and pretty cool armor.

They're both 32mm. Old Marines can be 25mm.

Only new Repentia and some AoS models are/were ever on on 28mm bases, and Terminators and Primaris characters are on 40mm bases, but Tactical Marines, Intercessors, and etc. are all currently on 32mm bases.

As for the conversion, go ahead. The parts are cross compatible, though I imagine it might be an expensive endeavor.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!

Converting? Knock yourself out. Nobody should have an issue with it.
