Orks were in their early inception brown, because they also were a parody of fascism, especially "stormboyz".

That said there is a thread for red ones.

If you mind the sculpts there's also decent alternatives.

GW:"Space marines got too many options to balance, therefore we decided to legends HH units."
Players: "why?!? Now we finally got decent plastic kits and you cut them?"
Chaos marines players: "Since when are Daemonengines 30k models and why do i have NO droppods now?"
GW" MONEY.... erm i meant TOO MANY OPTIONS (to resell your army to you again by disalowing former units)! Do you want specific tyranid fighiting Primaris? Even a new sabotage lieutnant!"
Chaos players: Guess i stop playing or go to HH.

Two variants I've seen are brown skin and blue skin.

There's a lot more variety in green than you might first realise as well. Giving a green skinned model a touch of pink on the end of the nose can add a lot of interest, although that works better on goblins than orks.

Rather than googling miniatures, why don't you try drawing inspiration from another medium such as movies or fantasy art? Sorry I'm not posting pictures, I'm on my phone and I'm a bit useless at doing that sort of thing with it.

Just google "alternate ork colours".....
Results in quite a list of links to similar threads on this and other forums!

Otherwise you can also go the creative way via this site: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/orkp.php

If you've got the hand for it you could cover your orks in tattoos. That would help break up the green skin and add a few more colours to your palette.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

Red or reddish brown is classic, for sure. Blues are more rare, but exist (my dungeon crawl orcs are blue). Pale white/grey is cool looking. Or, alternately a reddish brown with grey/white paint all over them, in a kind of woad-like body paint?

I'm not much of an ork fan but even I've considered doing a force for 2nd edition and I can guarantee they won't be green.

An example of my blue orcs.
