Hello all. I recently decided to get into new Vegas again, but I keep getting hit by a bug that makes the loading screen cycle endlessly. I cannot alt tab out of it, and I have to restart my entire computer to try again, and now it keeps happening. What the heck can I do? I verified local files, running the program as an administrator, downloaded the new Vegas crash mod, but it keep bloody happening. Any help?

You have to restart your whole computer? You can't just CTR+ALT+DEL and shut NV down in the Task Manager? I've often run into an infinite load error in NV. I usually just shut it down using the task manager then start it up again. That normally clears it for me.

Also, how long are you waiting before you shut down? NV is sluggish to start if it hasn't been run for a while. I've had to wait 5 minutes to get it going on occasion. If you're closing out after only a minute or two you might not be waiting long enough.

Yea, I had to restart my entire computer just to exit out. For some reason control alt deleting just never worked. I will say that I finally think I fixed it with the anti stutter mod. I still have sudden crashes, but infinite loading isn’t such a terrible thing like it used to be, so that’s good!
