Work made painting impossible this week. I was finally able to finish my first Necron Squad ... minus eyes and bases.
Used some washes. Used some contrast paints. Used some dry brushing. Revisited high lighting black.
I started to sort out contrast paints. The chest plate/logo ... all contrast paints. I have even managed to glaze the colors over each other to get transitions from blue to green to yellow. Win for the new guy.
For whatever reason it was visually easier to highlight the metallic models. It was easy to spot where a line or some slight line/gradient should go.
My bases ... tinkering. I used chaulk with a bunch of different sized pebbles/grit. Put the technical paint over the top. Let it dry and, then, I did a wet blend. Why not try ... only a base and not a big deal if I mess up. That is the base with the very noticeable cracks.
The other is just pebbles on a base. Then, technical paints that I blended. Again, why not practice blending on a base?
Not sure how I like the Necrons on a nature related base. They just feel like they'd be on something more sci-fi'ish. Or I need to revisit my colors to find something that would match.
I ran out of steam today. My goal was to base and, then, start on my Immortals. This week ... sort out the final base idea and start on the Immortals. Too tired to paint eyes. Just make that a single day project for a future Saturday or Sunday.
Any feedback appreciated.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
