The thing I think this is missing, that the ones I have from Rathcore, is a bar that goes over the mini. That make stabilizing it for detailed work so much better then just a grip. I don't know why more don't have that.

The swappable top is nice... but it still uses bluetack to secure the model instead of a physical clamp. So that's a 'no' from me, sorry.

Oh but the tack they use is some sort of super formula.
I used to hate using blue tack as well, because it’s crap at holding a model.
RGG’s orange tack changed my mind. The stuffs incredible.

It's also not sold separately.
So we have a painting handle that requires a custom made adhesive that only they have, that they don't sell separately.
You'll have to forgive me if I'm still not sold... While they say it last a while, sooner or later, you're going to need more. For me personally, I live in a very old, very dusty house... I've seen how quickly other adhesives here turn from sticky to vaguely tacky lumps of useless mess, so I'm dubious about the potential longevity. But regardless of how long it actually lasts, the fact that it would likely need to be replaced sooner or later, for a variety of reasons, but apparently can't be without buying another handle is more of a turnoff than having to buy a specific, proprietary putty already was to begin with.

I wonder if it's just white tack? Blue tack never holds anything but the white poster tack is way stronger.

I was interested in the tack as well. Since I'm a sloppy painter, my tack ends up picking up paint. I guess I'd like to see the tack reviewed by purchasers, then sold as a hobby retail product (much like greenstuff epoxy).
Thingiverse has several miniature holders. You need a 3D printer, but saves on shipping, etc. The angular spray table actually looks more interesting. : https://www.thingiverse.com/kaeebonrai/collections/miniature-holder

Yes, to me the handle bar is what makes a holder usefull. Without that you can use just about anything else to hold the mini rather than buy this.

I just use binder clips for things that I'm rushing through. I put pins in the feet or base of the mini and it cost me like $5 for 20 or something like that.
