So i finished all of my gaming minis within the first 4 weeks of the pandemic lockdown so to find something to do with my time i started in on my gundam mastergrade kits i have had in the cabinet for going on 15 years. i am a fan of the original UC timeline and one of my favorites of the series is 0083-stardust memory as it is a bridge between the original series and zeta gundam.

I finished off the GP01 FB before all this happened but i still had the GM custom burning special, GP02 and GP03 in the que.

Here is a quick shot of the finished GM custom with the accompanying large scale figure of commander south burning (acting mobile suit commander-EFSF MSC-07 albion) that came with the kit.




Next up i get to work on the GP02 in the bcakground.

Only some detail paint on some of the verniers and vents i tried some washes on it but they didn't look right. with these kits you really need a full repaint. i have a few that i did that way.

They are a bit dusty since i have had most of them for going on 20 years

Like i said my Gundam display cabinet is hurting for space.

A nice collection. It's good to see some non-standard gundam colour schemes. The one with the flektarn (Jamesgun? Heavygun?) looks really good.

So more covid lockdowns and a bit of vacation means i am slowly working through the last of my gundam kits

Both the master grade GP02 and the SD version....unfortunately i have misplaced the decal sheet for the master grade somewhere and i need to do a bit of detailing but i figured i would drop this group shot.




This leaves me with one master grade GP03 (if you could not tell i am a fan of 0083 ) , a resin gundam girl and resin original priss from bubblegum crisis ep 5 (motorcycle outfit) in my general model collection build projects.

Wish they had made more of these ship sets for US release. the cosmo ship sets form japan are stupid expensive

In the picture of all the mobile suits, what is the red & white one at the bottom right of the picture? It looks like a Gerbera but not quite how it looked in the anime.

It is the gebera it is the FIX upgrade figure

They are a bit expensive but they did an entire line of FIX super edition versions of mobiles suites

In japan they only have a limited 2 year print run on basically all popular items like toys,, soundtracks, manga etc...so a huge market or re-buy/re-sellers has developed along side the regular retail market.
Mandarake is one of the largest with a huge selection as well as a search list for items they can notify you of if they get them in stock.


I got to visit the store location in tokyo...lets just say it was heaven for toy/manga collectors (i even managed to pick up some out of print seikima II, the heavy metal, band action figures from them) the amount of money my eyes spent could have easily drained my bank account.
