Is it twice per barrel or just fires two times? I am inclined to the latter I am inclined to the latter. But I thought I should check.

You get two shots total with the Twin Lascannon.

The weapon is Heavy 2-that means you get two shots. It doesn't matter whether the model has one barrel, two, or two thousand, you just get those two shots.

Yeah, 'twin' is effectively just part of the name. It has no rules purpose, you just follow the stat line for the weapon.

In older editions 'twin-linked' weapons were a specific thing (something like two weapons side by side that shared targetting data). 8th edition abandoned this classification and anything of that type became a single weapon option that fires twice as many shots as normal.
