how is the player of the Twilight ability supposed to work now... and the other rules that were given exceptions to the 1 cp / battle round ...
am I missing something ?
|
As an aside, as "infinite" rolls is actually impossible even if the FAQ "allows" it, then it will always be a non-zero chance to pass them all. Eventually the two players will die. If they pass the game on to their decendents, they too will eventually die. And, at the end of it all, the universe will experience heat death and it, too, will die. In the instance of "infinite" hits, we're talking more of functional infinity, rather than literal.
RAW you can't pass the game onto descendants, permissive ruleset. Unless we get an FAQ from GW. |

Yes - released rules.
We're missing ALL of the FAQs for ALL of the existing books right now for 9th.

right I just assumed most people on this forum has read the leaked rule book XD... my bad,,, that would illegal... just to address the "released rules" part of your tung and cheek answer.
And no we do not have any FAQs,,, but most faction related rule changes will be in CA20 most likely...
So I dont know if I have missed anything thing in what was leaked... but if I did, that is my question. Thanks for your helpful and well thought out answer.

He did answer the question. There is a FAQ type document(s) that will be released with the rulebook that is supposed to address items such as the one you are inquiring. It may be rewordings of current items, rules update, and/or clarifications of various things. We do not have that yet, so we really cannot answer it as of yet.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |

Tabletop Titans said on their stream at some point that they weren't sure how these abilities were supposed to work and had asked for clarification from the devs but hadn't got an answer. Their opinion was it was probably supposed to bypass the 1CP per round limit with the same mechanic as before, but that the devs just forgot to write it.
But RAW you can only get 1CP at the moment.

My reply wasn't meant to be tongue-in-cheek, and I've already told you what you're missing - the FAQs that will clarify exactly the kind of situation you're asking about. The FAQs will be released when 9th edition is released, or when someone leaks them.
