Ok we've all seen the new gauss reaper rule and how gw carefully wrote it to look really great  until yo realize you need to get to 7" for full effect.
With most rapid deployment and long range moves limited to 9" getting your warrior blob to 7" intact is not easy, no opponent who is competent and conscious will want to see 40 s5 ap2 shots being taken at any unit he has.
So, any tactics on doing this? Let's hear 'em!

Other than that you use the same tools we had before; deceiver, nightscythe, ghost arks and VoD.

That still won't do it, since you can't come in within 9" and you can't move afterwards.
You can put 10 Reaper warriors in a Ghost Ark and Deceiver it up to 12" away. Then on first turn you disembark and move, you're within 7".
At the moment it doesn't seem like a great choice, but we need to see the rest of the book to know for sure. If they make Ghost Arks open topped, they'd be very interesting.

Hmm, speaking of the ghost ark, should it and the dda be allowed to take reaper arrays instead of flayer arrays?

Even so a ghost ark carries 10 warriors. Even if they get to 7" they get 20 shots, same as a 20 warrior blob gets at 14".

True, but they'd be at Str 5 -2 vs Str 4 -1. Given that mobility and board control seem to be the order of the day, being aggressive with Ghost Arks could be a tasty strat.
As for Ghost Arks and DDAs getting reapers, it'd be cool but they aren't in the kit, so it's not gonna happen.

true. Technically this offers more firepower since the Ghost ark contributes too, but I agree I'm still dubious. We'll have to see how it all shakes out.

Yes, that is a point i issed, the GA would add in 20 s4 ap1 shots whichy might balance out the 10 less s5 ap2 shots. Good point.
