I plan to paint my necron army without spending 50 years.

Was thinking : silver primer, earth shade, dry silver, blue / green eyes and black gun.

Better ideas? Any photos ?

Need your help !

I always wanted an army of skeletons, just so I could prime em white and dip them in wash and call it done

How about bone colored necrons?

The classic silver Necrons are the Sautekh Dynasty, the first model seen in this Battle Ready tutorial:

'It is a source of constant consternation that my opponents
cannot correlate their innate inferiority with their inevitable
defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

Oh. think of general grievous color scheme, and the droids. IE white base washed in brown.

Like these. Maybe, I dont know how long that took

Way too many steps, but the base - wash - drybrush for bone effect is what I had in mind.

Or.
metal base, and teal wash maybe

I'd strongly suggest looking into metallic spray paint as a "primer". You can find them at craft stores, like Michael's and they're often on sale.

Then, hit them with a "thin" coat of Contrast. If you're looking at greenish-blue, I'd suggest maybe Akhelian Green, or Terradon Turquoise. Contrast looks AWESOME over metalics, and should get you a finish you're happy with. You can always drybrush after, but the effect is really good without needing to, and you shouldn't need a wash after, either.

Switch back to "normal" paint for your spot colours and such... bam. I'd guess 2 minutes each for the contrast coat, and then probably another 5-10 for the other colours. 15 min each, tops.
