So we know Tau get to ignore the over-watch limitations.
(Also some usual offenders in terms of traits for armies. I.e. Space marines of specific colour being allowed to advance and charge etc.)

So now is the time for your entirely wild speculations and theories as to what will be ignored in 9th next for entire factions?

To start things off I think Eldar will end up with being able to either cast duplicate powers, or ignore the modifier cap

Mainly because I like the idea of using warp spiders which are like -2/-3/-4 to hit.

I think "cut them down" will become an ork thing also. Just coz...

The time for that was before the 13th

The update for T'au to have something special like this came through from the FAQ updates on the 13th, and as far as I'm aware they're the only ones that got anything like that.

Hopefully GW removes all of the hideously overpowered Tempestus Regiments and returns them to the standard (and still very strong) Stormtroopers trait.

If they add a Crimson Fists Supplement Codex in this edition, I might finally bring my old Captain Cortez model out of retirement!

I will not rest until the Tabletop Imperial Guard has been reduced to complete mediocrity. This is completely reflected in the lore.

Ynnari actually becoming a thing. I went full on Ynnari and I've kept hoping for something to happen, but I'm starting to wonder if I should just give up and go back to Craftworld instead.

Fingers crossed the Eldar get some tricks to either reduce damage or reduce hits to make up for the indirect +/- nerf

The Conclave to get a few ritual powers that scale with unit size #makeeldrithstormgreatagain

None of the Scion traits are overpowered LOL

I've done a lot of these in other threads, so some will be familiar:

- Ynnari will get more stuff; hopefully it will be Exodite and Corsair stuff with rules in a WD for running the units as just Exodites and Corsairs instead of reborn

- Tyranids will get at least a fortification (think capillary tower/ digestion pool)

- Kyganil, though outcast from Harlequins, will groove with Yvraine and tell her that Daemonifuge has a secret weapon vs chaos (her Codex); this item will be used to get the final crone sword from the palace of Slaanesh

- In order to either thwart the attempted rescue of the sword, or to prevent the Ynnari from following through with the remainder of their plan, Slaanesh will activate Fulgrim and the Emperor's Children

- Aircraft for everyone! Yes, that's right- flying Nuns!

- The Genestealers are doing something on that planet. It could be that they are becoming a true military force rather than a collection of insurgents; it could also be that they are teaching the hive fleets that there is some value to individuality, leading to nid characters (think the Borg Queen)

- Maybe we get the Abbesses of the Convents Prioris and Sanctorum as Supreme Commanders

- An entire regiment of the guard turns traitor, and becomes the basis for the new traitor guard faction

- Elysians become a GW army, which is why there are no FW points for them

Nids will once again be immune to moral tests.

(as a Nid player I think it should instead be that they make the test using the unmodified leadership of the nearest synapse creature while within synapse range. I.E. 10. Incredibly difficult to fail but still possible.)

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Guard officers will re-merge with command squads.

Looking at the Look out Sir wording, it hints that units containing a character model will be a thing. Guard used to have that. Also, it would make buffing command squads with a banner/medic a much better choice, as they would not be instantly wiped off the board as they are now.

I can believe that an insectile race would be immune to our moral tests - would they be immune to their own ethical ones, though?

In Tyranid culture wearing cloths is actually quite rude, it means that you are hiding something and expresses hostility.

If the Empire banned clothes, the Tyranid menace would be avoided.

Marines will get a 1 point strat called "By His Holy Might". The strat will read as follows:

"Use this strategem in the Command Phase. Pick any 3 Adeptus Astartes units and any single rule. For the remainder of the battle round, those units may ignore that rule. Can be used up to 2 times per turn."
