Having picked up a judicar from eBay, I decided that he was begging to be painted as a Night Lord, meaning a few minor conversions were needed;

All straight forward swaps besides the addition of a pauldron to his right arm. I hadn't noticed that the model didn't have one . I've managed to cut and place one into positions that look right from every angle except from above, so need to decide whether to accept the wonky pauldron or just accept him not having one at all (which compromises the conversion a little in my eyes.) The cluster of skulls looks much better than the hour glass as well, imo.

I'll be making a scenic plinth base for him as well. I'll keep updating this thread as I do more.

Thanks for looking.

Looks like a good, simple conversion.
I agree that the shoulder pad situation is weird.

The Polito form is dead, insect. Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence?

Very nice work. To be honest, the cluster of skulls would work equally as well for a loyalist.

While I like the pauldrons with fins personally, he might benefit a little more from one without. You might be able to cover up that gap behind his arm that way, without it getting as in the way of his sword.

Decided to drop the pauldron on the sword arm altogether, it's just not working for me. I'm going to paint him up for next month's painting comp, but here's the dilemma with the coat-red leather, or flayed skin?

For Night Lords? Flayed skin for sure! If you can divide the coat in to sections with straight lines of Rhinox Hide and stitches so you have a patchwork of skins like Fabuis Bile or the Master of Executions has, I think that would work well.

Looks great! Good for you for adding the second pauldron, I did the same for mine (though mine is loyalist).
