So I just finished reading this novel and I gotta say BL seems to be upping their game. they've really gone and put a fair but of attention to detail etc. little referances to other novels, side abrs etc are nice. Guy Haley clearly put a lot of work into researching and writing this book. I'm hopeful that this level of quality will remain through out the series

The interview he did sounded like he put a lot of thought into it, so good to know it's come through in the writing.

yeah, as I said the real test will be when we're a half donzen books into the series written by multiple authors. but I think GW's learning from the Horus Heresy Series.

Spoiler:
which BTW the book also implies may in fact be ICly taken as a "history" of the heresy written by the first of Gullimans Historianators

Would you care to provide a brief synopsis? I haven't got the book but if the story to my liking I might just order it.

I could but I'm not sure I'd be able to do it justice.

Spoiler:
basicly the story features the perpartions for the Indomatus crusade and gives us our look at basicly the first major battle of the crusade. We get to see things like the unveiling of the primaris marines, how the early primaris Marines handled being let out after deep thaw (it wasn't easy for them) the big epic battle towards the conclusion of the book is quite literally the first major battle of the Indomatus crusade. One of the major viewpoint chars BTW is a white consul's captain, so anyone who has a soft spot for this sucessor chapter will be happy to see that
