I don't use
GW flight stands for anything because I don't like the air bubbles within the rods. I bought clear acrylic rod from eBay instead.
I don't see using flight stands being worth the extra trouble of drilling and avoiding painting it, at least for regular joe ghosts. Some larger models could use some structural support but even then I would try achieve it with strategically placed basing elements such as gravestone or dead trees. The idea is that it reduces wobbling by providing additional contact point to the base.
