A few days ago, I had an idea for a Kitbash for some Craftworld Eldar. Now, I don't play Craftworld Eldar, but I really liked the Kitbash idea enough that I'm thinking about making a small Kill Team.
What do you think about the below 100 point list?
++ Kill Team List (Asuryani) [98pts] ++
+ Configuration +
List Configuration: Matched Play: Kill Team
+ Leader +
Dire Avenger Exarch [11pts]: *No Craftworld*
. Leader
. Two Avenger Shuriken Catapults
+ Specialists +
Guardian Defender [7pts]: *No Craftworld*
. Comms
Howling Banshee Exarch [14pts]: *No Craftworld*, Mirrorswords
. Combat
Wraithblade [45pts]: *No Craftworld*, Ghostaxe and forceshield, Zealot
+ Non-specialists +
Dire Avenger [10pts]: *No Craftworld*
Heavy Weapons Platform [11pts]: Starcannon
++ Total: [98pts] ++
Created with BattleScribe
The Wraithblade is expensive, and I could trade him for some more models, but I don't want a lot of models in the Kill Team. I thought he would make a good distraction at bare minimum.
I don't want a Striking Scorpion because the kit doesn't suit the Kitbash I want to do with the rest of the "living" models.
What do you think? Good enough for small games?

Looks legit, and essentially a heavy-hitter force that any opponent is going to have to pay attention to. Wouldn't mind that force myself.
That said, the Wraithblade will take time to reach the enemy and your Guardian will be tied to the heavy platform. Its also a shame the Banshee exarch couldn't be equiped with an executioner.
But no team nor faction is going to be perfect, so don't dwell on the negatives too much.

You'll probably get brutalized. 7 models, where most of em are T3 4+, is not going to last very long.
I'd be surprised if you didn't have to take bottle tests on turn 1, and it's all but guaranteed on turn 2. That's not a recipe for victory.

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Oof. That is indeed rough to hear. Would love to hear your thoughts on a decent Eldar list for Kill Team. Been thinking about picking up some minis to make one and fill in as an alien force for another game, but been so far out of the GW loop (besides Blood Bowl) that I don't even know where to begin with Eldar in Kill Team.

I too would want to know, simply because I want to know how much work is ahead of me in terms of kitbashing, even if I'm trying to limit my team to strictly 100 points.
(For the record, I'd be making Eldar sized "constructs" visually based on the Vodyani from Endless Space 2)

There is another way to squeeze in another team member; drop the axe & shield on the Wraithblade, and take either a Ranger or another Dire Avenger. If the Wraithblade doesn't manage to get in range then the 9 points are wasted, but if it does then ghostswords are still going to do serious damage and you get that extra model giving you more control of the field.
Regarding the topic of toughness; its not any of the Eldar factions strong point. Where Asuryani are concerned, Wraiths and striking scorpions are the only decent options available.
Ideally, a winning 100 point team would focus on exarchs, guardians & aspect warriors. I'd at least go for the banshee and DA exarchs, some scorpions and the rest either DAs or Guardians.

Wraithdudes just aren't worth it in Kill Team. The only version that is even viable is with the Force Shield, and that's half your points.
You will be facing loads of high str and multi-dmg weapons in KT, as those are the weapons which actually remove things from the table. Those weapons don't care if they're shooting a guardian or a wraithguard.
I'm not saying you can horde up either. CWE are a terrible horde, since guardians are both expensive and incompetent.
I've had some success with lists that are all the exarchs, all the fusion guns, and a heavy weapon, then whatever's left in chaff. Your guys aren't tough, so you want as many of them to be dangerous as possible. That way, some live to be actually deliver on that danger.

Actually, they are very good in enclosed games, such as ruin-spam, Arena and Rogue Trader boards.

So it looks like everyone is pushing the Striking Scorpion Exarch, so that's going to be a bit of conversion work if I want the claw, even if I don't actually use a Striking Scorpion model.
Based on what you're saying, how about this?
++ Kill Team List (Asuryani) [98pts] ++
+ Configuration +
List Configuration: Matched Play: Kill Team

Dire Avenger Exarch [11pts]: *No Craftworld*

Guardian Defender [7pts]: *No Craftworld*
. Comms
Howling Banshee Exarch [14pts]: *No Craftworld*, Mirrorswords
. Combat
Striking Scorpion Exarch [21pts]: *No Craftworld*, Scorpion chainsword, Scorpion's claw
. Zealot
+ Non-specialists +
Guardian Defender [7pts]: *No Craftworld*
Guardian Defender [7pts]: *No Craftworld*
Heavy Weapons Platform [11pts]: Starcannon
Storm Guardian Gunner [10pts]: *No Craftworld*, Fusion gun
Storm Guardian Gunner [10pts]: *No Craftworld*, Fusion gun
++ Total: [98pts] ++

8 dudes and a platform. If I drop a Guardian Defender, I can replace the other for a DA and give the Banshee an Executioner blade. Or I could drop the claw for a Biting Blade and either exchange the two Guardian Defenders for two DAs or replace one Guardian Defender for a DA and give the Banshee an Executioner blade. What do you guys think?

Well done for going with the scorpion exarch and with three exarchs you can do without the executioner. Obviously its better to have it but with the fully armed scorpion and additional guardian support you have it good.
We would love to see what you come up with for the kitbash scorpion.
