Progress on the rank and file. Converted some intercessors and started painting the first squad of those and some Lt's and Cap'n. Bases are only temporary, they have some scenic bases to go on.

The conversions of the primaris and LT's. Added a bionic arm to hold the standard for the ancient, and bolter straps for everyoen that had one, as well as a 30k ish crotch guard for the LT's to help make thier rank more visible.

Looking good Meph. Cool chapter choice - not one you see often - and nice little characterful touches! Love the bionic arm to hold the standard. Looking forward to more paint!

Thanks! Yeah, I've been a fan of them ever since Grey Deaths army from several years ago(several might be an understatement, lol), and as an Iron Hands succesor they fit with my idea for a dug in, loaded out with gear siege company.

More painint progress soon! and perhaps some pics of the Deathstodes in battle if I find a pick up opponent at the FLGS tomorrow.

finished up the captain and the Lt's. Also finsihed building the bobcat and bull dozers, and got them and some more infantry primed and airbrushed the main armor colors on.

Brilliant colours and conversions! Pink power sword is a lovely touch.

The bobcat ATVs are a brilliant idea brilliantly executed. Can't wait to see them come together.

I am also a big fan of the bases, especially the Intercessors - really tie into the construction site theme you have running here.

Thanks for sharing

Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to go all out on the bases as well, so there are more of those coming up! I'm working on those invaders(bobcat/bulldozer) now so should see them in a day or 5 depending on my progress. And then the hellblasters and intercessors.

Downright inspirational stuff. Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but the construction theme and lovely green make me think of a certain group of combining Decepticons. Magnificent work on the two ATVs.

Construction theme is very strong, and works fantastically. The colour scheme is fab also. Perhaps you can tell I am a fan!?

I hadn’t spotted it but YES!

The Officers look fantastic! The weathering helps sell that they’re siege specialists, great job! The ATVs are looking resplendent in their green

Thanks! Its been quite fun to expand from the basic marine asthetic. Lol, I did not see the Decepticon angle, but hey, it wouldnt be the wierdest thing in 40k. I mean its hard to compete against the baby carrier.

Thank You! There is more coming too, including a Kodiak like engineer tank with a cran running down the middle.

Thanks! The tonka toy really needed something to change it up. I think if i were doing it for a regular themed marine army I'd move the wheels don a bit to raise it up off the ground a little, and put a roll cage on it to make it a propper buggy/jeep and it wouldn't look so bad. But with my theme, tractors jsut needed to be a thing. I also have sige shield demoloshers in the works as well(these are actually old conversions that inspired the stowage/gear laded idea that I did many years ago as a proof of concept and then never actually was hyped up about taking the army all the way.

Both your projects are amazing in their own ways. Very happy to have come across your work. Keep it up and keep going. Finish strong. It is something that unfortunately not alot of us hobbyists do.

THanks for the encouraging words!

Lol, I know that feeling as well! For many years I have jumped from project to project without finishing more than a few things at a time. More recently I have been pretty good about completing at least significant army sized portions before moving to thenext "woooo new things!" phase. I havn't even started sharing my 7th ed bugcrons, or the additions to the orquisition, and someday they will come out with new figs for slaanesh choas armies and the Tentacle Tide (aka the hentai army) willneed updates as well. Yep I'm deep down the well of never ending projects lol.

Also while painting continues on the invaders, ancient, hellblasters and intercessors, a few new things are also underway. Some bikes(all changed from default posing: one throwing a grenade, one hopped off and charging on foot, and one leaping a small chasm) and also some firestrike turrets that I did for a scratchbuilding video I'm working on. Also did them up some motorized bases since for my combat engineers company we are skipping hover jets completely and going tread head all the way. Oh and before the dril lthe barrels comments start... dont' worry, i drills all muh barrels. Just focused on the idea and posing when working with those bikes so far.

Thanks! I thought it was a fun idea, and I want to remove all hover/anti grav from the army as good ol tracks fit in better with my asthetic I think.

Also up on the workbench while painting continues at a moderate pace on the other figs, some intercessors from the dark imperium set. Choppy choppy was performed to change the poses.

Anti-grav just doesn’t feel right for imperials, and certainly not for your aesthetic. The bases for these guys continue to be fantastic. The poses on the Inceptors is fantastic, for a moment I thought the middle dude was getting a bit friendly with Papa, but I guess you’ll be smoothing out with GS

Thanks! Yeah, I scuplted out some rough detail on the body that was using to contort him into the "jumping backwards" pose, but I will add a layer on top of that to reinforce it and show the actual plates and segments of the armor. And his arm GS is the one that jumped out and said FIX ME when i took the photos, lol.

While working on bases I also prepped up the next 20 ish for assault intercessors, and whatever infiltrators/reaivers etc that come next.

In full support of the no anti-grav stance. That's a sweet array of bases!

Finished up part 2 of the intercessor squad. Hmm, forgot to hit the barbed wire with wash and grime. Willl have to fx that. Hellblasters are finished too, but their bases are part way through painting, so guess they will have to be the first thing finished tomorrow.

Thanks! Yeah it is pretty bright, it s one of the things that drew me to Sons of Medusa. Also, Hellblasters finished up! The benefits of batch painting the first 5 or so main colros is that each unit comes along fairly quickly once you stop and start going unit by unit to finish them up.

The bulldozer is finished up! Bobcat and ancient still in progress, and 3 firestrikes, 3 outrider bikes, 3 bolter agressors, another invader conversion, and a repulsor conversion are all at various stages of build/convert/primed and ready for paint.

Invader number 3 conversion, this one more like a regular quad bike or a buggy. May or may not add a roll cage for it ... will probably make it and then see if it looks better with or without.

And I have finally joined the 3d printing realm ... I doubt I will print many full models, but my need to convert and the ability to steal gubbins from nearly everything out there and combine them to make new things .. now that gets me fired up. Sadly having a rough time dialing in the settings to get this to work. I've tried following several posted successful settings for the resin i'm using and my machine, but so far I havnt had any luck getting any full prints successfully, even on simple items like boxes and bedrolls, or test models/templates. Frustrating. I have an inquiry into the company to see if they can point out where I'm going wrong.

THanks! I wanted to have one that was simple enough that I could tell people how it was made. And this one is almost stock, except for raising the middle, and moving the weapons, so it only takes 3 peices of plasticard (two sides and one rear/bottom) and is simple enough for people to replicate.
