I'm new to Battlescribe, not complaining or impatient. Just wondering when to start checking for the update. What is the average lead time from a new codex release or a programmed data file?

They have a discord where you can chat to them. Just be aware they get a lot of people asking when updates are coming, so doing it voluntarily they understandably get a little touchy about any perceived entitlement. Not saying you'd do that, just worth being aware of!

But yeah, usually with a big 40k release they would have done quite a lot of work in advance. I've not been paying attention with this cycle specifically, but I would assume we'd get a first version within a few days. Likely it will take a few updates after that to iron out most of the issues.

They never release before a codex is officially released and it's community driven so there's no set time. Its done when its done. Theres a lot to update so expect around a week, maybe 2 due to the volume of crap Space Marines have.

That's why I asked here, A ball park so I'm not looking all the time, or sitting around a week after it's out I want to avoid, but there's no need to spam them with more. The community's estimation was close enough
